Oh well, by the time I’m that old the whole system will have collapsed on it’s own!
AARP makes the majority its revenue via commission it is paid selling and promoting insurance, especially medical insurance. Membership fees are a relatively small part of AARP’s income stream.
If AARP endorsed a single payer health system (like the National Health Service in England) it would probably have the effect of bankrupting itself
I believe that this is real reason why AARP supports Obamacare – which is best classified as an insurance program.
