So I was listening to Dan Savage’s podcast yesterday, and unfortunately he decided to talk about politics. Fortunately he made a total fool of himself. His statement was that President Obama intentionally threw the debate to rial up his supporters who had gotten complacent.
Yeah….the “I meant to do that” defense.
Roadkill sent me this cartoon. Yeah, Biden is going to mop the floor with Ryan. Because we all know the guy who has trouble not choking on his own tongue is a WIZARD at debates!
What’s really interesting is many of these blind cultists are openly anti-religion. Irony, they will never grasp it!
As is commonly, but erroneously, attributed to GK Chesterton: “When people stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing — they believe in anything.”
I don’t believe in that line fully, but I do find it amusing when someone thinks that because they’re against religion that they are suddenly immune from groupthink, selection bias, and self delusion.
This irony is also why many confidence scams work. People will often be so sure of their own capabilities (see Dunning–Kruger effect is) that they will ignore the possibility that they are being played, especially if they think they’re pulling a fast one over someone else.
No religion often means the worst cultists of all because they give up actual meaning for a profusion of meaningless words.
And I’m not clear at all on why Biden is considered a brilliant debater. But Ryan does need to be prepared to firmly and in detail slap down garbage.
Biden has no issue with stating the baldest of lies as if they were absolute, received truth. That’s largely because he’s mentally deficient, but it’s also because he can get away with it.
How do you argue with someone who will redefine reality to fit their position?
You beat me to it. In that way he’s the ‘perfect’ politician: he’ll lie to you, face-to-face, and- at least while he’s saying it- he’ll actually believe the lies he tells.
And he’s had a lot of media covering for him on it for so long, I doubt he believes he’ll ever be held to account for it.

Not sure if they are TOTALLY Anti-Religious. Seems to be a lot of Hating going on against every Religion EXCEPT one. When I hear “There is No God!” anymore, I’m adding “But Allah, and Mohammed is His Prophet.”
Or how else do you explain that for days this Admin said that the Libyan Attack was ALL the Movie’s Fault, when they knew for months that the Diplomatic Mission had weak Security. And that the Intel within a day was saying that it was an Al-Queda Strike.
Well, part of the explanation could be that they aren’t capable of telling the truth…
