I suspect Maine has a fairly similar demographic makeup as Prince Edward Island back in the 80s and 90s when I was in school there. My high school was fairly large and we had TWO black families, and one of the black girls I went to school with, her white mother had divorced her black father and re-married a white man.
Her assertion that she was called “Nigger” nearly every day at school doesn’t surprise me, as people who live in a racial monoculture are often more curious and afraid of minorities, and probably don’t know the full weight that word holds, having likely only read about it in books and heard it spoken in film and music.
The racism of the Democrat party is burning strong, but they’re quick to point the finger to the Republicans because they feel they can get away with it.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a well-deserved and well-issued verbal beatdown. I’d like to see his response, but I suspect he’s too busy enjoying his fat paycheck to even notice this.
