Cool 50 round Drum Mag for the Glock 9mm!

I’m impressed with the price! Most drum magazines cost 2-3x the price of conventional magazines for the same amount of rounds. Cool for range use and just fun-factor. But also I see things like this as being ideal for your bump-in-the-night gun. When I carry my 1911 I have 25 rounds spread between the gun and my magazines. Others who use double-stacks may have 50 or more rounds on their body…but that’s in mag carriers. Who has mag pouches on their nightstand? I don’t. I have spare mags in case I need to bunker down in my bedroom, but if I go looking for the source of a strange noise at night I’ll just have what’s in the gun. That can limit things tactically. Other people might bring a carbine which solves some of that, but at times I’ve answered the door armed to an unannounced visitor at night, and with a pistol you can conceal the gun easily, either under your clothes or behind the door you’re opening without causing concern to what you have determined to be a non-threat. Also a pistol lets you have a hand free to open doors or manipulate things while still having the gun at full-ready. I prefer handguns, and having a HUGE magazine is nothing but awesome.

Oh and for carbine fans, if you have a carbine that eats from Glock Magazines? Yeah this is for you!

Also any other reason to buy something better than the fact that its illegal in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and California?

I have yet to use one of these things that was reliable enough to trust for realz. Plus they make the gun handle like a pig.

Yeah, I’m with Tam on this one too… Short of a Thompson (and even then I’d rather have the sticks), I get the heebies about trusting any drum mag if I need reliability.

Here’s my experience with drum magazines in pistols: if you don’t have the arm strength of a Viking and the balance of a ninja.. you won’t hit anything you’re aiming for.
