Yep!

Sure I have some show pieces and some collectors items that I baby. Working guns are stainless, or covered with hard finishes. “Abuse” to them means don’t hit them with hammers or intentionally mar them. But overall if most of my guns needed to be babied or coddled I wouldn’t really want them around.

I’m especially impressed with the melonite finish on my S&W 1911Sc. It goes in and out of the leather holster, and it gets bounced off of door frames and seat backs all the damn time, and still looks good.

Stainless is even better!

    I’m with you. If I can’t shoot it, what good is having it? I don’t collect for investment purposes. If the gun can’t hold up to my use, I have no use for it.
