My wife and I are all set for retirement even if there is no Social Security. Anybody with half-a-brain is the same way.
I say give ALL the money to the older people who learned too late it was a BS Government Ponzi scheme, and let my generation who has known since before we were legal adults that it was an upside down scam pay the balance AND pay our way through retirement with our retirement plans.

Hear, hear! I for one would be willing to fall on that sword so future generations won’t have to deal w/ that BS. As it is I don’t expect to get squat, but admitting failure then tapering it down until it ends outright would be the honest (& therefore most honorable) way out.

Social Security numbers STILL have to be *voluntarily* applied for. **DO NOT LET THE HOSPITAL SUBMIT THIS APPLICATION FOR YOU**
You may have to *not* tell them the name of your child in order to prevent them from doing so behind your back, but stand firm, the law is on your side.

First SS was a investment retirement fund for those that were investing, then it became entitlement for even those that hand not invested. They expanded the
pool of those taking out but put in little or never have put in.
Me I have 40+ years of paying into it. Not by choice! Now damn it, I expect to get something out for all that money paid in. If I’m lucky I”ll be the first member of
my family to live long enough to collect. My father paid, ,y mother paid my brother paid and all they got was a measly 250 bucks because they died. That is not
entitlement, that is my money there. If the caretakers (dasGov) has been
wasteful or outright fraudulent its on those people to first go to jail and then
fix the system back to what it was.
It was never meant to be a free ride only to make sure that there was a protected
savings pool to draw from. Yet I know people younger than me collecting from it
longer than I’ve paid!
