Mom Blogs used to be one of the more obnoxious hand-wringing magical-thinking supporters of gun control.
Mrs. Weer’d (For obvious reasons) has been reading a TON of Mom-Blogs, and has been surprised at HOW many pro-gun articles there are, and the overall positive responses that they have been getting.
This is the latest she’s found:
I do think about how I want my kids to see guns. I live in Vermont, and we happen to have a lot of guns up here, mostly because we love our hunting. My son is not into guns right now, but he has a cousin who turns everything into a gun. I’m not going to be the guy that tells kids they can’t play war, cops and robbers, or whatever gun-related games they want to play. So that leaves the question: how am I going to make sure my kids respect the danger guns represent?
The answer, as with most things, boils down to a matter of education.
Go read the whole thing, its very reasonable, and middle-of-the road, and ACTUALLY concerned with safety as opposed to concerned with civil rights, and claiming they’re removing the rights even when MORE death results.
Needless to say, even the former bastion of gun control is more lost ground for the anti-rights cult!

You should check out the blogs wherein “mommy blogs” and “prepper blogs” intersect – to say they are willing to explore educating their kids about firearms is putting it mildly ;).
