“Gun Death” DC Cop

Who can you call when the police are trying to murder you?

A D.C. police officer has been indicted on a charge of attempted murder after allegedly trying to kill his wife with a metal light fixture and threatening her with knives in their home in Prince George’s County.

Prosecutors announced the indictment Friday against Officer Samson Edwards Lawrence III, 45, who lives in Accokeek. The 23-year veteran is charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault and two counts of possessing a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.

Good thing DC makes it really hard for citizens to get handguns, because otherwise this monster could have been shot!

Further information gives me chills:

Lawrence, who had been assigned to the School Safety Division, was arrested Nov. 25, a day after the alleged attack, and charged with several counts of assault and reckless endangerment.

Yep, he was guarding our CHILDREN! Classy!

  1. Sebastian says:

This happened in Maryland, but the point is still valid. Now it’s only slightly less difficult to get a gun in Maryland.

  2. Archer says:

Sebastian beat me to it: Prince Georges County is in Maryland. Not that MD is anything resembling the “lawless gun haven” the antis think it – or anywhere outside D.C. and California – is, but still….

I still say if she’d HAD a gun, and if she’d shot the guy in self-defense, the media, prosecutors, and/or courts would actively work to undermine her case because he was a cop. “Thin blue line,” and all.
