I’m always amused by people ignorant about guns asking about cyclical rates, because they’re pointless. Some gun clubs have rules against “Rapid Fire” were they demand arbitrary times between shots, like one-second. My club has it right and says “Shoot only as fast as you can keep rounds on target”. This is simple, if somebody is shooting too fast and isn’t marking their paper, they can be cited.
Or another example is the Jerry Miculek Record. Its not how fast he was able to empty that revolver, it was the fact that he emptied that revolver THAT fast in a crazy tight group on target.
Yeah there’s a limit to how fast a semi-auto gun will cycle, or how long it takes a revolver’s trigger to reset, but its all irrelevant. But I’m sure Joan is fishing for some bizzaro post about how guns need to be banned.

There is an outdoor range near me that once told me that my (AR15) rifle was too loud, and my rate of fire was too high. It seems that it was disturbing the hunters who wanted to get their rifles sighted in. They told me no more than one shot every 5 seconds.
On a side note, every time I make a comment here, the CAPTCHA rejects me at least once. This time took four attempts.

Miculek shoots a revolver faster than a Maxim, which I find amazing.
I would think that a biden special 12 gauge double barrel would be about as fas as theoretically possible……
If its a double-trigger SxS it is literally INFINITELY faster.
But even with a single-trigger there’s a reason why African hunters chose the two-shot double-rifles that could fire both barrels as fast as you could reset the trigger over bolt-action guns that would give you several more shots at a fraction of the cost, but required you to work the bolt.
