6 hours a night and no caffeine for me. Been that way as far back as I can remember.
Well one thing he doesn’t mention is that there is a group of “Super-People” who function on VERY little sleep. The CEO of my last company, as with the director of my current lab all sleep approximately 4 hours a night with little ill effects. Seems that’s consistent with many of the biggest CEOs in America.
The 8 hours a night thing is really just an average. If I can get 7 I’m fine indefinitely. Back when I was a fisheries observer I’d go close to a month without getting more than 4 hours a night. I usually need a 10 hour crash at some point to “reset”, but it worked fairly well.
