More Anti-Rights Anti-Logic

Michael Moore is really stupid:

First I don’t trust any numbers about gun ownership in America. The gun racks are BARE, and there is no ammo, and from everything I’ve seen this appears to be people buying their first guns, not use hardcore gunnies buying more guns. Also given all the talk of bans and confiscation, I doubt people will be so cooperative or forthcoming on what they own and don’t own when asked.

Still Moore seems to think that just because you DON’T own a gun that you’re fine with banning them. I was pro-gun for YEARS before I finally pulled the proverbial trigger and bought my first guns, and like we’re seeing today I didn’t just buy one, I probably bought a half-dozen guns in the first year. Today, my collection is fairly well-rounded I’ve only been averaging a few guns every year, and unless the rush slows down and price stabilize I might not buy any, or only a few odd collector’s items this year.

Also, I think Moore seems to think that having a shooter walk right through a “Gun Free Zone” to kill innocent people like fish in a barrel will convince everybody that MORE gun control will be at all effective.

Then again, if anti-rights goons were smart or logical, they’d be pro-rights….

You know what would be slick? If we can elect Rand Paul in 2016, and then the LIBERAL states could secede, taking a sizeable portion of the hoplo’s with them. Then they could do all the gun control they want, and the good folks (such as you and Jay, among others) could repatriate to real America, and everyone could continue about their liberty. And we could stop Michael Moore at the border.

I would love to ask Morgan, Moore, Fienstien, and President Obama one simple question on national TV: Would you be willing to live with the same precedent you are trying to set, banning whatever you say is wrong and giving near unlimited power to the executive branch with no regard to constitutionality, if the Presidency and both houses were to shift to conservatives?

I’ve asked this to liberals I know and have never gotten a straight answer. It would be interesting to see the people above trying to find a politically correct reply that wouldn’t hurt their credibility.

They think they will forever be in power. The pendulum often swings back and often farther than expected. Those bare shelves means one thing. Americans are prepared and should the sleeping giant be forced from its slumber, the bastards will get what they richly deserve.

Weerd, My observation mirrors yours. A vast majority of the gun owners that I know are sitting back and waiting till things blow over (as am I). Sure, we are all still keeping our eyes open for deals like always, but none of us are running around panic buying. On the other hand, I’ve seen a number of people who have never owned a gun going out an buying one saying they “need to buy one while they still can”.

“Also, I think Moore seems to think that having a shooter walk right through a “Gun Free Zone” to kill innocent people like fish in a barrel will convince everybody that MORE gun control will be at all effective.”

I am reading this as you think that this isn’t true. I submit that this is EXACTLY what is currently going on in New York, Colorado, and a number of other places. It’s sad, and stupid, but the fact is the antis are using dead little kids, shot by an insane person who was walk through a “Gun Free Zone” at the time to push their agenda and it is having some success. They use Blood Dancing as a tactic, because when it is shocking enough it overrides logic and works.

All I had to see was “Michael Moore” to realize that it wasn’t worth watching.
