Non-Citizens Caught voting in elections:
Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted announced Wednesday that his office found 17 non-citizens illegally cast ballots in the 2012 presidential election — and has referred the case for possible prosecution.
The alleged crime would be a notable case of voter fraud in a key swing state. By law, only American citizens are allowed the privilege of casting ballots for the nation’s leaders.
Ohio officials say that did not stop some from getting around the system.
“I have a responsibility to uphold election law, and under both federal and state law you must be a citizen to vote,” said Husted, a Republican who has aggressively tried to investigate voter fraud cases in his state.
Husted also found that 274 non-citizens remain on the voting rolls.
This issue cannot be eliminated. Identity Theft is a common thing, and that can just as easily be used to make a non-eligible voter vote, or allow somebody to vote multiple times. But to do this would make it an even more serious crime, and therefor more of a deterrent. Currently “Progressives” claim that voter ID laws are a “Poll Tax” and are “Racist”…but state IDs could easily be subsidized for cheap, and it would crack down on these crimes which are vastly more widespread than these 274 cases. I suspect the opposition has an ulterior motive.

And the plot thickens:
As part of Ohio’s efforts to clean up the voting rolls, election officials discovered that more than 257,000 dead people were still listed as active voters. Their names and status, Husted said, have since been removed.
In addition, election authorities note they have drastically reduced the number of duplicate registrations, from 340,000 in 2011 to just four this past November — and that more than 370,000 Ohio voters who have moved have been contacted to update their voting information.
That’s a LOT of fraudulent names in the registries! That’s also not counting the made-up people that were placed on the rolls by “Progressive” criminal organizations like ACORN. I wonder how many of these half-million bunk voters cast votes? I think we all know what party they voted for!
Remember, it’s racist to ask for ID before voting, but it’s not racist to demand a ID and a government background check for all firearms transfers.
That of course is the other branch of irony here. Those “Progressives” who are screeching the loudest for these laws which not only don’t require an ID to be presented, but also make it ILLEGAL to ASK for ID, are wanting to make it illegal to do any from of firearm transfer from sale, to simply letting your buddy feel the trigger job you did on your project gun, or to teach somebody how to shoot without paying a FEE for EACH TRANSACTION!
Remember, I live in the “ideal world” they want. I have to show an ID every time I transfer a gun, and when I do that at a shop they charge me in addition to the $100 fee for the license!
