“Gun Death” Satanic Ritual

Man, it feels like I’m back in the 90s reading this:

The teenage boy charged with capital murder in the satanic killing of a girl in Clear Lake made a court appearance Tuesday in Harris County and new gruesome details were revealed including confirmation that the crime was sparked by Satan worship.

The 15 year old victim, Corriann Cervantes, was strangled, sexually assaulted with a curtain rod, stabbed with a screw driver, hit with an ashtray and toilet lid. Court documents says puncture wounds were found on her face and an upside down cross was carved on to her abdomen.

Man I always assumed that the whole “Satanic Sacrifice” thing was an urban legend cooked up by fear mongers in the 90s. I guess not!

Also note the common items used in this killing. I thought only guns killed!

I always thought it was weird that an upside down cross is considered satanic. The pope has one on his chair.

    • Weerd Beard says:

That’s Saint Peter’s Cross and quoth the good book of Wiki:

The origin of the symbol comes from the Catholic tradition that Simon Peter was crucified upside down, as told by Origen of Alexandria. The tradition first appears in the “Martyrdom of Peter”, a fragmented text found in, but possibly predating, the apocryphal Acts of Peter, which was written no later than 200 A.D. It is believed that Peter requested this form of crucifixion as he felt he was unworthy to be crucified in the same manner that Jesus died. As such, some Catholics use this cross as a symbol of humility and unworthiness in comparison to Jesus.

According to Roman Catholicism, the Pope is Peter’s successor as Bishop of Rome. Therefore the Papacy is often represented by symbols that are also used to represent Peter — one example being the Keys of Heaven, another the Petrine Cross

So yeah, old Representations of that Cross have “Pope” written all over it. It’s only been in more modern times that its been used as a Satanic symbol.
