Indoor Skydiving

Never Knew there was such a thing!

Impressive!

What came to mind was for people to get that good they needed to have access to a similar facility to practice.

One of those opened up in Austin last year, in fact it’s a chain.

I haven’t done it yet, but it looks really fun.
The other thing that impressed me that it exists is the three different giant trampoline places we have in town.
One is built in an old grocery store to give you a sense of scale.

There’s a great place in Nashua that does this- I set it up as the 1st stop in a bachelor party for my buddy. Lots of fun!

I used to work at a pizza place next to the one in Orlando, we would trade large pizzas for free rides. Was a heck of a good time.

Oh yeah, there’s a place in Nashua not too far from the beer brewing place. I’d kind of forgotten about it since when it opened I think they had a 250lb weight limit, but I’m OK for that now!

The one in Orlando is limited by the fan to 135 mph. The instructor on our last ‘jump’ said that they were now making versions that could produce winds around 200 mph, which lifted the 250 lb weight limit…..

    Hi W-D,
“Skydiving, controlled flight without wings…” The line that started out the old “Ripcord” TV series!! That was a long time ago and we’ve come a very long way in the “Sport” in a short time!! ‘Made my first “Jump” back in ’64. One day someone said ,”Hey, what if we got an airplane engine and mounted it in a corn silo an’ make a ‘vertical wind tunnel!!?'” It took “a while!,” but whodathunkit??? Tunnels are great, but try it with nuthin’ on either side of you but the “Big Blue SKY!!!!!!!!!” BTW,”Don’t Bounce!!!!”
