So understandibly the last episode of Gun Blog Variety Cast has generated a lot of chatter. That show had a lot of fans who are understandably upset to see it go.
I’ve been getting a LOT of questions about what I’m going to do in the wake of this project’s cancellation.
Well if you have been following my blog for a LONG time, you might have an inkling.
Yes I’m planning on starting a new podcast. That’s pretty much all I can say right now, because really that’s just about all I know right now. For fans of the Gunblog Variety Cast, I’ve fallen deeply in love with the “Patented Weer’d Audio Fisk” as Sean called it, so there is a VERY good chance of that being heard again.
The rest I don’t yet know, so I really can’t say. I’ve talked to a few people about show ideas and we’re working on this while you’re reading, and if you think I should be talking to you directly about this, but haven’t heard from me, feel free to send me an email.
I also can’t tell you when you’ll hear the first show, but it might be a little while because I want everything all lined up and squared away before I get ready for a new weekly commitment.
Thanks for all who’ve been following me and giving me so much support….if it wasn’t for all of you, I literally woulnd’t be doing any of this!
Here’s to 2018 having a great new show in it!
Hey Weerd Beard have you thought about talking to Shawn at the Firearms Radio Network about doing a show? I am sure that he would be more then happy to help in that regards. And maybe you can get Erin to come on with you. Just a thought.
Let me know if you need help!
There’s one important thing that was missing from GBVC. Your new podcast should have MOAR HOG!!!
And of course HGR ain’t GOIN nowhere!
I’d love to hear it again!
Outstanding news! Patented Weer’d Audio Fisk was by far the best segment on that podcast.
Glad to hear it Weerd! Not looking to suggest a Seanless GBVC, but Erin has indicated an interest in doing another podcast. The two of you work well together on air and I would love to have her back. Something a bit different with more of a round table format possibly with segments as well would be cool.
How about a Tonight Show format? Host does opening monologue with occasional interaction with co-host. Host introduces first guest. Guest segment then guest sits on the couch and interacts with host and co-host. Host introduces next guest. And so on. Shorter segments than GBVC and a bit of freeform round table in a SQRPT/VC style with some regulars and occasionally special guests. And none of the libtard buffoonery of the lamestream media (except to mock it and expose it for what it is…) if you prerecorded the segments then “live broadcast” the round table bringin in each contributor after their segment it would play just like the Tonight Show format.
I would listen to that.
