Some Justice

As a rule I think the death penalty is a mockery in this nation, but this is the best we can hope for

Steven Hayes smiled as he was sentenced to death by a Connecticut jury today for his role in the deadly 2007 home invasion that killed Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her two daughters.

Lawyers for Hayes said that their client was “happy with the verdict” and had “got what he wanted.”

Well it seems we’re all satisfied with the end result. I hope he smiles on the slab.

Also note I put this under the “Gun Death?” category, as this brutal crime was committed with a baseball bat, gasoline and lighter, and bare hands…

    I thought the air seemed a little cleaner today . . .

Dont hold your breath- the only reason we havent had the death penalty abolished yet in this state is the governor keeps vetoing it. However we now have a new governor who is rabidly against the DP as to him everyone can be “redeemable”.

Also- since 1968 or so CT has only executed 1 person. We have quite a few people still on death row celebrating 30+ years of being there.

Oh, look at this! Shit. And where is it? Its in my cornflakes. Who shit in my cornflakes? Blackhawk did! Yes you did!

Sorry- I didnt mean too. Trust me when I say many here in CT would love to see the fucker burn but our enlightened legislature feels otherwise.

If it makes a difference I am diabetic and had seen Dr Petit twice on advice of my endocrinologist. He was very kind and knew his shit big time.

Dr Petit has also become a very outspoken supporter of the death penalty- so outspoken that when we had an open forum earlier this year on whether or not to abolish it that the liberal in charge of the proceedings pointedly ignored Dr Petit all day. The libs did not want his statements on record- people were actually called on and then deferred their time to Dr Petit but were declared out of order. He was finally allowed to speak at the very end having sat on a hard wooden bench all day- and then the libs got up and walked out so they did not have to hear them (as a side note- these same libs are the ones who every year keep trying to impose Massachusettes style gun control on us).

But like I said- I didnt mean to shit in your cornflakes- just trying to show that the DP doesnt mean squat here. I wish these bastards did this in TX as you KNOW there would be justice- Regular or Extra Crispy.
