Of Course They’re Sociopaths

Why don’t the people of New York know this?

Anger seeped from her fingertips after learning that a bunch of VIPs partied and sipped fine wine on the sacred grounds of the 9/11 Museum, where her brother’s remains are buried.

“You enjoy dinner & drinks on top of my brothers grave last night douchebags?” tweeted Robert Shay Jr.’s sister.

Shay, 27, of Staten Island, was a husband, a father and a bond broker for Cantor Fitzgerald.

His outraged sister blasted Condé Nast, former Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum for the sickening black-tie shindig meant to recognize supporters and donors.

I have no issue with a private viewing and event for the people who paid good money to help this Memorial and Museum get built (of course I’m sure in attendance were many of the bureaucrats that stood in the way so that this shrine was erected THIRTEEN YEARS after the towers fell), but a black tie event is a social and cocktail setting for celebration, not respect, and reflection. It’s a spectacle.

But we all knew this, the people who didn’t seem to know that the ruling class was a bunch of sociopaths who would drink wine and cocktails on what is forever the grave of people murdered by terrorists are the people of New York who kept electing them.

“Gun Death” Mental Illness

We need to make sure the mentally ill never get their hands on guns!

Severe bipolar disorder is the reason REDACTED buried her 2-month-old son alive in 2010, her lawyers said Wednesday during opening statements in her capital murder trial.

Oh, no guns were used? I guess this death doesn’t count!

Career Criminals

There is a reason why I carry a gun, and also why I see no reason for anything but the most obvious restrictions on firearms ownership and carry. Most people are inherently harmless, if not good, but there is a small handful that is outright dangerous!

A southwest Ohio mother and her two adult sons have pleaded not guilty to charges that they were making a living by breaking into homes and stealing.

What a quaint little family! Obviously they were stealing for food because evil Republicans hate Obama!!!

And then there’s this!

An alleged trio of thieves accused of ransacking homes in central and south Florida while dressed as ninjas have been arrested while caught in the act yet again, authorities announced.

The masked men were taken into custody while attempting to break into a multimillion-dollar mansion that was once owned by ‘N Sync member Joey Fatone and featured on MTV’s Cribs.

…The threesome, dressed in full black ninja attire, was collared while allegedly in the act of entering the property while armed with wire cutters, zip ties and duct tape. Contreras and Bower additionally had guns, according to an arrest report.

The wire cutters might be used for disabling alarms and breaking into stuff, but the duct tape and zip ties are for one thing, restraining occupants, and the guns in this instance are for murder.

Glad they’re behind bars.

As for their hopes of rehabilitation there’s this story:

A New Orleans teen who was shot in the head during an alleged attempted burglary last year was busted in another robbery just blocks away from the near-fatal shooting, authorities said.

… Coulter made national news last July when married dad Merritt Landry blasted him in the head after he said he caught Coulter trying to break into his Mandeville St. pad, blocks away from Friday’s incident.

Landry, 33, told authorities he feared for the safety of his pregnant wife and toddler daughter when he found Coulter, then 14, lurking in his yard at around 2 a.m. on July 26.

Landry fired once and dropped the boy from about 30 feet away, authorities said. Coulter was unarmed.

Oh but he was just a good boy and didn’t need to get shot!

He apparently did not learn his lesson.

Less than a half hour before his bust at a Royal St. home on Friday, the teen was caught by security cameras looking through windows and jiggling the knob of another house on Burgundy St., the Times Picayune reported.

At one point, the footage showed, Coulter sat in rocking chair to wait for a man to pass by.

Later, he absently picked at the leaves of a houseplant before taking off, leaving his cellphone behind.

The boy, who entered using a key he found the mailbox, didn’t put up a fight, and calmly waited for cops to arrive, police said.

He was booked on a charge of simple burglary. Nothing was taken from either house.

Got shot in the head for intruding on an occupied home, and continues to do it! Now I’m willing to bet this guy is just straight up crazy….but does that make him less dangerous??

Bullet Proof Bible

I saw this replicated on Mythbusters, but it’s cool to see it in real life!

An Ohio bus driver who says a book of Bible verses in his pocket stopped the bullets fired at him is going to remain on leave until an investigation into the shooting is complete.

Glad he’s OK, but I don’t have a lot of faith in this part:

The attack is being investigated as a hate crime. Wagoner is white and the youths who attacked him are black. There have been no arrests.

Sorry, but blacks get to be as hateful as they want! Don’t you know? Somebody owned a slave once!

“Gun Death” Bathtub

Anti-Rights activists like to talk about guns being a huge danger to kids. What about this?

A mother suffering from post-natal depression thought her TV was ‘telling her to do things’ before she drowned her baby and dumped it in a factory car park, a court has heard.

This isn’t the first story we’ve heard where a crazed mother drowned at least one of her progeny in a tub. Seems to me that if you’re suffering mental illness, a BATHTUB is far more dangerous than a gun.

But this isn’t a “Gun Death” so it’s better, you know!

All Kidding Aside, It Would Work!

I really think lethal injection is preferred because it is clean and LOOKS effective.

Personally i think long-drop hanging is the best means for executing prisoners with dignity.

Colion Noir on Gun Free Zones

This is just an amazing video:

The analogy to cheat codes in video games is really appropriate. That’s what “Gun Free Zone” signs do. Hell just look at this recent shooting. Kennesaw Georgia, the town that had an albeit tongue-in-cheek mandatory gun law requiring all residents to own at least one gun. I say “tongue-in-cheek” because the law was never enforced, and it obvious political posturing. Still the law met little criticism from the town residents, and is still on the books, likely because most people there DO own at least one gun, and I’m sure carry is very prevalent.

The antis seem to find that a mass shooting there was a sign of the dangers of guns and the need for more gun control. Except the shooting was at a posted “Gun Free Zone”. While Georgia doesn’t have binding signage laws making people disobeying these signs criminals, it IS company policy and likely people who carry there will be subject to termination.

This is the policy of my workplace. I can carry there 100% legally, and would never face criminal charges if my firearm was discovered, or I needed to draw my weapon in self defense. Still for this, I would be fired on the spot. Now maybe if I worked an entry level position this wouldn’t be an issue, but a high-skill professional job, trying to cover that termination might be very tricky…so despite the risks, I don’t carry to, from, or during work. It sucks, but it’s my employer’s right to make any demands they want.

So yeah, in a town where every home was armed, and one could suspect any crowded area would have several people carrying concealed, does it surprise you that a mass shooting happened in a posted “Gun Free Zone” in a business location that does not serve the public (the warehouse is in an industrial park by the airport, it is not a Fed Ex retail store)?

Now another law I’m intimately familiar with is the “No Discharge of Firearm” law, as most places I’ve lived. One interesting example was of a former employer of mine. They were the owners of this island and my job was to be general staff on the ferry boats, kitchen staff, and assist with tours of the fort. The island was a nesting site for seagulls, also pigeons nested in the fort. This caused damage to the historic landmark, and the owners were granted exemptions from hunting and protection laws to kill all the birds nesting in or around the fort. Of course the island is part of the city of Portland, which has a no discharge of firearms. Despite the island being about a half-mile from shore, city officials ordered him to stop shooting birds with his shotgun.

Now all of this is interesting, but if ever he needed to defend his life on the island, or his home on the mainland, he would NOT be prosecuted, as justifiable self defense is exempted in all the laws I’ve read.

Yep, gun free zones are just bad law!

The Crumbling Empire In Massachusetts

Anti-Gun Billboard on I-90 Boston to Go!

It is the kind of stark message that has made the 252-foot-long billboard a graphic, look-at-me advertisement for stricter gun control. But after 19 years, its owner is searching for a new home.

”This has been the proudest accomplishment of my life,” said John Rosenthal, a real estate developer who attached the billboard in 1995 to the side of a Lansdowne Street parking garage he owned.

The sign –the work of Stop Handgun Violence, a Newton nonprofit cofounded by Rosenthal — must be moved by March, a deadline set by the parent company of the Boston Red Sox when it bought the garage from Rosenthal in 2013.

Rosenthal made his fortune selling real estate during the real estate bubble. That bubble has burst and money is thin for people in this line of work, which is probably why he sold the garage. I never knew he owned it, so the billboard was essentially being shown rent-free. Now that the spot no longer belongs to him he’s looking for a new spot.

”I’m hopeful that we’ll find a property owner who shares our concern about gun violence,” Rosenthal said. “We cannot afford to pay a high rent, and the billboard will just cease to exist if that’s the only option.”

Rosenthal said he is searching for sites along the Turnpike, Interstate 93, Route 128, “or anywhere in Boston.” Mayor Martin J. Walsh said he will support a new home in the city for the billboard, which he called “an eye-opening reminder of the tragedy of the crimes being perpetrated with guns across our nation.”

He’s building a new property nearby so he might put it up there, but it will be a few years before it’s ready for a sign. I suspect he won’t be able to find a spot, and if he does he won’t be able to pay for it.

This sign really isn’t that big a threat to gun rights in Massachusetts or anyplace else, which further shows how dire things are for anti-rights activists in America.
