Actually Looks Pretty Tasty!

Gotta love the creativity!

Turducken? Turducken is nothing. Behold Cthulken. Or Craturktopus. Perhaps Turkrakon. Whatever you call this dark combination of turkey, crab legs, bacon and Elder God, it is the one true Last Supper.

Reddit’s doc_birdman, along with numerous unnamed agents of chaos lurking in the shadows, shared this image with the internet over the weekend. It’s been circling the outer fringes of the informationsphere for ages, but now it’s finally food a home, it’s spear-like claws taking root.

I’m not a fan of Snow Crab, but all the other stuff looks yummy!

The Man In Purple Rides Again

Sean has done it again!

Long Story Short, the Anti-Gun Forces in North Carolina decided to have a rally against lawful gun ownership in the guise of a Sandy Hook Memorial. Sean decided to show up to represent lawful gun owners and was promptly asked to leave, which he did.

First up this was held in a Catholic Church, which should be open to the public, and shouldn’t be used to subvert American Freedoms.

Second they were promoting the Moms Demand Action “No More Silence” Campaign, and their action was to silence the opposition by forcing him out into the rain.

That shows what the antis are thinking when they say “No More Silence”, they don’t want a debate, they want those alleged 90% to speak up against guns. I think we all know how that’s going to pan out.

Still in the end Sean did an Amazing thing:

In stead of being ignored by the reporters, or just given a passing shot (Sean came alone, wasn’t confrontational, and didn’t bring any protest signs) he’s been interviewed and talked about in every story covering this.

We aren’t being silent, antis!

“Gun Death” Vest Testing

As they say, “Don’t Try This At Home!”

A young Edmonton man who grievously wounded his friend while testing a supposedly “stab-proof” vest was sentenced to six months in jail Tuesday.

Court heard that Justin Harder, 18, was bragging to his friend Calvin Wesley Clackson, 21 about a “stab-proof” vest he’d just acquired as they hung out in an apartment suite at 106th Avenue and 116th Street, Crown prosecutor Mark Huyser-Wierenga told court.

Harder was so confident in the vest that night in October 2012 that he believed it would deflect any attack with a knife. Harder eagerly invited his friend to stab him in the chest to prove the vest worked.

“Mr. Clackson foolishly obliged him,” Huyser-Wierenga said.

According to the agreed statement of facts, Clackson stabbed at his friend with a folding knife. The blade tore through the vest and plunged into Harder’s chest near his heart.

When Clackson withdrew the blade and saw “blood spurting all over the place,” he fled the apartment.

Harder was seriously injured and only survived because of emergency surgery that night, court heard.

He’s lucky to be alive! Still, this incident is NOT a “Gun Death”.

Images of the Antis: Legality

This is an interesting image being tossed around by the anti-freedom lobby:

I did a little bit of research and honestly I can’t find much more than is on the card. This woman allegedly had an abusive ex-husband. According to court records he threatened her with a gun, and allegedly discharged it in the house. He was not prosecuted with this crime.

The Ex gets issued a restraining order which means he has to stay away from Zina, her place of work, and cannot own firearms.

He arranges a private sale online, and buys a gun. I wish I had a bit more information than that, but as far as I can tell nothing more is there. More on this later.

He takes this gun to the spa where she works and shoots seven people, killing three, one of whom is Zina. When the police arrive he barricades himself within the spa and kills himself.

Now what can we tell from this story. First up MANY laws were broken, even in Wisconsin where the laws are fairly liberal.

#1. He bought a gun despite an order of protection.

#2. Since we don’t hear about prosecution of the seller, this implies that likely the seller DID ask if this sale would be legal, and he lied about his prohibited status.

#3. He violated his order of protection by both going to his ex-wife’s place of employment, and by going when she was on site at the time.

#4. (maybe this counts as multiples) he Murders 3 People, and attempts to murder at least 4 more people.

Lastly he takes his own life, this doesn’t get a number, because I don’t care.

Now what the anti-rights people think will change this all is if #2 violation would be written as “He illegally buys the gun from a private seller”.

Now I’m not going to be arrogant and say that wouldn’t have worked in this case, it might have. We all know that illegal drug use is a serious problem in this country (legally, ethically is a discussion for another day) and for that to happen large numbers of people are able to acquire drugs through illegal methods. Still on an individual basis they might not know where to start in the black market. I don’t associate with criminals, so honestly if I wanted to get an ounce of coke, or a hot Glock I wouldn’t know where to start. I will say the gun is easier, because I have lots of friends who HAVE guns. I can’t say any of them would sell me one if I was the subject to an order of protection and they knew it, but I’m sure with a little effort I could get one. Same goes for cocaine. It would take some effort, but its not impossible.

So while a ban on private sales MIGHT have stopped this crime, it is equally as foolish to claim it DEFINITELY would have stopped this crime.

Now the antis are so quick to say “Well if your argument is criminals don’t obey the laws, why have laws at all? People run Stop Signs, so why not ban Stop signs?”

Straw man! The traffic law the antis are saying is not running stop signs or signals, but people speeding. Let’s say a town has an issue with people speeding through the main drag. To throw some numbers on it, the people are going 60mph through a posted 30 MPH zone. That’s dangerous, and that’s bad news! The anti-rights people claim that if we lower the SPEED LIMIT to 15mph the problem is solved.

Of course we know that speeding in places IS a problem, but we also see the solution. If people are known to drive through an area at dangerous speeds, you put up traffic patrols and arrest the criminals. And for 60 in a 30, that’s not speeding ticket territory, that’s handcuffs in the cruiser territory. Further authorities might increase penalties. Such as the practice of doubling fines in a posted construction zone.

These practices are in no way perfect, and people break them every day, but it helps a lot.

You see the above violent act was NOT a crime because he bought a gun, it was a crime because he bought a gun and then broke multiple laws MORE SEVERE than illegally buying a gun. Further the sale of the gun already WAS a crime!

The old circular logic of “If guns were as illegal as murder, nobody would be murdered with guns!”

Now another big problem is people trusting the law. This man SHOULD have been in jail at the time of the shooting, at least if Zina’s claims were correct, and given that he discharged a gun in the home, this charge could have been easily verified if police took this case seriously. Further Zina trusted the restraining order to protect her form a man she knew was dangerous.

Does this case sound that simple to you?

“Gun Death” Bad Justice

This is the world the “Gun Death” Fanatics wish us all to live!

An East St. Louis woman who prosecutors say was stabbed to death by her former boyfriend appeared to anticipate she was in danger the day he was freed again from jail.

Montrell Cooper was released Nov. 25 on probation after pleading guilty to another felony battery charge involving 25-year-old Michelle Rowling. Later that day, Rowling posted on her Facebook page that friends should convey her love for her kids and mother “if anything happens to me tonight.”

Rowling was killed five days later, and St. Clair County prosecutors have charged Cooper in her death.

This is the magical world that the “Gun Death” Zealots want for us all. A world where a violent monster is released from prison, and his target can do nothing but essentially write out her last requests on the internet.

Its Illinois, so without an FID, no gun in her home. The courts have ruled that carry SHOULD be legal there, but at the time of her death carry was, and today still is illegal there, so outside her home she would be defenseless. The alleged killer didn’t need a gun to kill the object of his sick ire, but he also didn’t need a gun to get his ass in prison in the first place, so are we surprised?

Of course if this had been free-America and she had shot this bastard when he approached her, it would be a “Gun Death”, and therefore bad. Now a stabbed woman who feared for her life is nothing to be talked about.

It doesn’t further an agenda, you see.

No More Silence

We weren’t:

The past 12 months have been unimaginably horrible for the loved ones of the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre a year ago, but they have been just fine for the maker of the gun used in that mass killing.

Freedom Group, also known as Remington Outdoor Company, announced this week that its profits have risen by 52 percent in the year after the tragedy, in which 20 school children and six staff members at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., were killed with a Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifle made by Remington.

The company expects profits in 2013 to reach $235-240 million, up from $156.5 million in 2012, according to an annual financial report released on the company’s website….It’s been a great year for gun makers generally. Sturm Ruger, the largest US gunmaker, will report earnings up 52 percent and sales up 39 percent over the past year, according to the Financial Times.

…Though more background checks are being conducted, it’s getting easier than ever to own a firearm. Seventy state laws loosening gun restrictions have been passed since Newtown, compared to only 39 tightening them, according to an analysis by the New York Times.

And as Congress continually fails to pass gun control legislation, it’s likely that weapons manufacturers will continue to rake in the cash.

Gotta love the “Progressive” spin that somehow these companies are turning record profits on sheer evil alone. Of course that’s bull! Its all connected. Congress hasn’t passed any new legislation, and gun companies are turning massive profits for the same reason.

We don’t want more gun control, and we want our guns! Also while the media over-hypes some rate outlier shootings, America is a safer place .

So, when I say “No More Silence”, I mean we were NEVER silent, and EVERYBODY can hear us, and the anti-freedom forces hate it!

Great Post

She has a good point about the government forcing the baker to bake a gay wedding cake. #1 its rewarding the bigoted businessman because that gay couple is going to make him a profit on what WILL likely be the shittiest wedding cake EVER! (Seriously, I don’t even send an unsatisfactory meal back to the kitchen in a restaurant because I’m concerned the cook will spit in it…what does this gay couple think this asshole is going to do?)
#2. It gives bigots a reason to hide their bigotry. In a world where I have a lot of different places to spend my money, I’d appreciate a nice red flag on where NOT to do business.

#3. It sets a precedent that we must serve all. That means gay bars need to serve Westboro Baptist members. Black businesses must serve Klansmen and Skinheads. Gun shops and makers must serve anti-rights activists, and government officials in anti-gun states.

Now the core of this story is that gays are being claimed by the “Progressives”, and this bakery went against the “Progressive” engine. I can also see these same people saying that Barret cannot abide by their “Barrett will not sell to or service any California or New York government agencies.” policy. Same goes with Starbucks’ new policy to ask people legally open carrying to leave the store.

But what about people openly wearing Neo-Nazi or Clan garb? Yeah I don’t see them standing up to that. Is that right? Is that selective enforcement?
