.50 BMG Can Blow Up a CAR!!!!

Jerry has some more fun with his Barrett and a playmobile.

I loaded a car with explosives ONCE and frankly I’d rather never do it again. Notice the shrapnel from that play car…and that’s plastic. Imagine metal…HOT metal!

Also note that Jerry is using a spent case for a chamber flag. Does anybody know why such an advanced firearm doesn’t have a bolt hold-open? I wonder if it has to do with the fact that the bolt probably weighs as much as my carry gun….

Blind People With Guns

OK This isn’t the story everybody is talking about, I’d like to touch on that later, but this one amused the hell out of me.

Some of those guesses were really hot shit! I LOL’d for the “Green frame, right?”

“Gun Death” Parked Car

I’ve heard stories of people leaving a sleeping infant in a parked car as they ran VERY quick errands, and people over-reacting by breaking windows or calling the Police. I think that’s foolishness. Still there are exceptions:

A 31-year-old father whose infant son died after being left in a parked car in the Phoenix summertime heat has been arrested because he was smoking marijuana at the time, police said….Outside temperatures were about 100 degrees, but interior car temperatures are frequently much higher.

At first, police said the father was distracted and forgot about the boy.

However, Thompson said investigators developed information that Gray was smoking pot with a co-worker and forgot that his son was in the car.

This was NOT running in to pick up the dry cleaning, or stepping into a convenience store to buy a soda and pay for a tank of gas. This jerk left his baby in the car so he could go get stoned.

Sick. The fact that the weather gets so hot in Arizona only adds. But hey, no gun, so no “Gun Death”, so they won’t be bothered to light a candle for this little boy.

I

Peirs Morgan Gets his ass kicked on his own show.

I love how Peirs attempts to say that Defensive gun uses don’t happen because he doesn’t feel like seeking them out, and the national media (himself included) would rather not report when a “Bitter Clinger” defends their life.

Piers here’s a link for you not to click on!

Gun Control is a religion, and the true believers like Morgan follow it with blind faith.

Interesting Gun Bill in Missouri

I like this bill, but I don’t necessarily agree with their methods:

By superseding federal regulations, House Bill 436 would make it a criminal offense to enforce background checks or to publish the name and address of a gun owner in the state.

It would also technically allow citizens to own a machine gun, which is banned under federal regulations, according to the governor’s office. It also would nullify federal gun laws and would allow citizens to take legal action against officers who try to enforce them.

Very interesting, but what’s most interesting is this:

After a heated debate, the state’s House of Representatives voted 109-49 on Wednesday to override the governor’s veto of House Bill 436, a measure that would essentially nullify federal gun laws in Missouri.

This bill is pretty darn radical, yet Missouri has passed it, and with a wide enough margin to sidestep the Governor’s veto. I doubt it’ll hold up in court as the law is directly opposed to a number of federal laws, and further if Missouri police and ATF agents get into a firefight over this law both sides will technically be right.

I was discussing this with Mrs. Weer’d (who earns the H/T for finding this story for me) in how this is similar to the US Civil War/ War of Northern Aggression. I refer to the conflict like that because both terms are correct. The Confederate States of America had their own land, their own government, and their own currency…just the United States of America refused to recognize any of that, and technically still controlled 100% of what was The Confederate States of America.

I’m really just amazed that this law is THAT popular. Things are really bad for gun control types in America right now.

Slow Blog Day

Kinda Odd that there was such a big and historic event in Colorado and the anti-rights forces, and the media (but I repeat myself) have been so silent.

Joan HAS made a VERY minor note in her twitter that indeed they lost hard. Still directly after the recall was conceded by the villains she tweeted about this law in Newtown:

The Legislative Council of Newtown, Conn., unanimously approved a new firearms ordinance that sets limits on recreational shooting, nine months after the deadly shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The ordinance details that residents have four hours for shooting after notifying police and said shooting is limited to one person at a time. Target backstops will be required and must be 10 feet above the target, with set distances to neighboring properties. No shooting will be allowed within a half-mile of any school during a school day.

We can talk more about this law later, but it only effects the city of Newtown, and its obviously an anti-gun snit that wouldn’t pass muster anyplace else, and will likely be repealed. This is the most minor victory to distract from a CRUSHING defeat.

The only anti-rights group to talk about it is Moms Demand Action:

The gun lobby may have won this local battle, but they will not win the national war.

True, that’s why we’re still fighting!

From the outset, this recall was designed as a tool of intimidation funded by the gun lobby. What a ridiculous temper tantrum by a bunch of bullies – moms know them when we see them.

Umm, these are state Political Representatives who were not…um….REPRESENTING their constituents, so their constituents fired their asses. This is no more the behavior of a bully as a supervisor firing an employee who has refused to perform their duties. They made their beds and now they lie in them.

Fortunately, the recalls do not impact the new gun laws signed into law earlier this year by Gov. Hickenlooper. The Colorado state legislature did the right thing by passing common-sense gun laws, requiring background checks for all gun buyers and limiting magazines to 15 rounds. This recall doesn’t change those laws – laws that will continue to protect Colorado families from senseless gun violence.

Laughable! First these laws do NOTHING to protect ANYBODY and we know it. Still the funny bit is them attempting to stay resolute in the face of defeat. Hickenlooper is going to have a nightmare keeping his job next year, and the new Republicans will be pushing hard and fast to repeal this horrible law, and I suspect they’ll get it.

Still one must admire their Quixotic stance on the defeat!

Hilarious!

You go right ahead! Fight or don’t fight, the results will be the same. You out-spent the NRA and GOP spending on this recall election and you made it insanely hard to vote by removing absentee ballots, and challenged the very recall laws in court, and you still lost.

What else you got? Come at me, bro!!!
