Of Course there’s the stupid Zero Tolerance rules which is most likely more to attempt to extinguish gun culture than to do anything resembling safety:
Little boys around the nation keep getting in trouble for guns – whether they’re made of plastic, formed by fingers or even fashioned from Pop-Tarts – but some experts say having “zero tolerance” for games children have played for centuries is turning the adults into bullies and backfiring on kids.
Elementary educators trying to discourage children from settling pretend beefs with pretend guns is nothing new. But in the aftermath of the Connecticut school shooting, and with the grownups increasingly polarized over the Second Amendment, rules for recess, on the bus and in the classroom have become stricter than ever.
Some say too strict.
“These zero-tolerance policies are psychotic, in the strict sense of the word: psychotic means ‘out of touch with reality,’” Dr. Leonard Sax, a Pennsylvania psychologist and family physician, and author of “Boys Adrift,” told FoxNews.com.
Of course guns have the capability of being used for evil, but they have a greater potential to be used for good…both defense of life, but also plain old fun. If kids are prohibited from even THINKING about guns being potentially good, it makes pushing BS gun laws in the future easier.
Laws like “Gun Free Zones”.
Conservatives and Second Amendment activists are calling into question a California state law and Santa Monica College rules that ban guns on campus, arguing that a recent fatal mass shooting only proves the need to revisit the policy.
John Zawahri, 23, killed his father and brother on Friday and forced a woman to drive him to the campus. He shot and killed three more at the school, until police responded and engaged in a shootout with him. He was killed during the shootout.
Guns saved the day, as well as shed blood. Of course being California, and being a school campus, the guns needed to be summoned along with the cops, and the shooter knew the coast was clear when there were no cop cars or uniformed officers.
That isn’t true with 90% of America, where guns can be legally carried by lawful citizens. Note also these lawful places DON’T Have spree shootings.
The antis don’t even want to talk about that fact!
