Time to Go To Work

Man, I can’t even believe the bombing was just last Monday, there has been so much crap it feels like WEEKS.

Lockdown has been lifted, and the suspect apprehended….and apprehended ALIVE!

Police found Dzhokhar Tsarnaev hiding on a boat stored in a backyard on Franklin Street. Police exchanged gunfire with him before capturing him alive. Spontaneous celebrations erupted across the region, from the Boston Common to the Back Bay streets near the bombing.

The boat’s owners, a couple, spent Friday hunkered down under the stay-at-home order. When it was lifted early in the evening, they ventured outside for some fresh air and the man noticed the tarp on his boat blowing in the wind, according to their his son, Robert Duffy.

The cords securing it had been cut and there was blood near the straps. Duffy’s father called police, who swarmed the yard and had the couple evacuated, Duffy said.

After the stink of martial law in the Boston Metro area, I’m kinda glad he wasn’t killed at the scene in Chris Dorner fashion. I’m sure if he lives I’ll regret that with bullshit show trials a-la Nidal Hassan.

Also in other grim news did you know he isn’t being read his Miranda rights? He is an alleged terrorist with Al Queda ties, but he’s also a naturalized US Citizen apprehended on US soil. I just don’t see all this “wartime” crap being necessary.

I’m also not going to shed too many tears for who is certainly a very bad man, but bad men have rights as well.

Be safe out there people!

“Gun Death” Brutal Doctor

Not for the feint of heart!

A central Ohio doctor was charged Wednesday with rape and two counts of murder in the death of a pregnant woman, whose body was found last summer in her car after she had headed to a house-cleaning job listed in an online ad.

Crazy, but not only is it a gun death, but one of the deaths is an unborn baby which is just a parasitic lump of cells, right?

Lockdown Lifted

Looks like the Lockdown of the Boston Metro area has been lifted. The bad news is that the bombing suspect is still at large.

When the events started early this morning I found the lockdown was a great idea. Allegedly the suspects had killed a cop, and carjacked a civilian to escape. It made perfect sense to stunt Boston’s horrific traffic, and close off the public transit which both gives escape routes, but also supplies crowds that can be harmed with bombs and suicide vests.

Locking down the areas around where the suspect may be makes perfect sense. But the area kept getting bigger rather than smaller as the day went on, and really it started to reeking of martial law.

**BREAKING**
I’m currently watching the news as I type and there it talk that the suspect has been found. I’m going to chill out with my wife and watch the news, and I’ll give you all an update in the morning.

Still Locked Down

Looks like most of Boston is shut down, as well as the surrounding cites.

I’m still at home waiting for the all-clear. There is some strong action at a home in Watertown that might be the suspect being cornered, but its all unconfirmed.

I’m safe here, and I hope all others in the Boston Metro are safe too.

Boston on Lockdown

Things are a mess here, and I’m doing a LOT of communicating with coworkers, but it looks like the police have caught up with the bombers.

The City of Boston and surrounding towns are on lockdown, and I’ll be staying home until the coast is clear.

Be safe out there.

“Gun Death” Stabbing

No guns used!

A 17-year-old girl working at a restaurant in Iowa City has been accused of stabbing a customer.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports the girl was charged Tuesday with attempted murder. She is being held on a $500,000 bond.

A criminal complaint says the girl attacked a woman Monday at Red Pepper Deli & Grill. Police say the girl stabbed the woman several times with an 8-inch knife from the restaurant’s kitchen. The customer’s injuries, including to her left hand and left elbow, are not life-threatening.

At 17 you can’t buy a gun, but it doesn’t mean you can’t be a threat. Still I guess only “Gun Death” should count, right?

Their Collective Backs Are Broken

One more victory lap with the tears of the anti-rights fans:

CSGV Defeated

All they offer to their supporters are misery. We offer freedom, self-reliance, safety, and the joys of the shooting sports.

The choice is obvious!

Why “Universal Background Checks” Are Pointless

This is another great example of why we have no need for further legislation on background checks:

U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced today that Paul Davis, 48, of Rochester pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr. to conspiracy to unlawfully engage in the business of firearms dealing without a license, including interstate transportation of firearms, sale of firearm to a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The charges carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison, a fine of $750,000 or both. As part of the plea agreement, the defendant agreed to forfeit 10 firearms along with various rounds of ammunition seized at his business and residence in Rochester, N.Y….Liddon Young was arrested and charged by criminal complaint with multiple gun charges in February 2013.

All of those charges, and yet still a crime happened. Does anybody believe one more law would have changed this situation?

Also note that Attorney General Eric Holder still hasn’t been charged with his involvement is the ATF gun trafficking operation to Mexico “Operation Fast and Furious”.

We need to enforce existing laws.

Quote of the Day: Blood Dancing

I must say there is a unique feel to how anti-rights lobby for their cause:

But with the families of Sandy Hook students in the Senate gallery and a flurry of gun rights phone calls flooding Senate offices, it was hard to imagine how much more emotion could be brought to bear. Aides to senators supporting the bill said that only outside circumstances, like another mass shooting, might cause those who voted “no” to reconsider their positions.

“It’s almost like you can see the finish line, but you just can’t get there,” said Andrew Goddard, whose son, Colin, was hurt but survived the shooting at Virginia Tech. “It’s more annoying to be able to see it and not get to it.”

Last night’s vote on the background check bill closes the recent chapter in anti-gun forces pushing bills, vs the old norm of them simply being on the defensive attempting to defeat pro-gun bills. The only reason for this brief shift was the shooting at Sandy Hook.

You see they can’t actually argue the MERITS of their bills, they need to have fresh blood to push bans, and sadly people like Mr. Goddard and his son Colin, as well as the other forces in the Brady Campaign, the VPC, and the MAIG are hoping for another mass killing, because they are dead in the water without it.
