Blood In The Streets!

Or the Safest pizza shop in the country!

A Virginia Beach pizza shop owner is showing his support for firearm rights by giving gun owners a 15 percent discount.

The discount is given to anyone who brings a gun or concealed handgun permit to All Around Pizzas and Deli.

Owner Jay Laze tells news media outlets that he’d planned on offering the discount for a limited time. But he says the response has been overwhelming and he might make it permanent.

Since the discount began last Friday, Laze says 80 percent of his customers have brought guns into the pizza shop. He says one customer came in with an AK-47.

Just keep watching the news for violence to break out, or this place to be robbed…you likely won’t find anything because the criminals aren’t going to even go to this place to buy a slice, and oddly enough law abiding gun owners tend to stay law abiding no matter what they’re carrying.

Also I love how the antis not only claim that there will be “Blood In the Streets” when people are given the freedom to go armed, but also say they have popular support of banning guns. Meanwhile this guy’s little discount is exceeding his expectations.

Back in my offshore days I spent a week in Virginia Beach waiting for the weather to break so I could board one of their scallop boats. This part of Virginia is hardly the “Rural South”, it also does have a high population of Navy people thanks to its proximity to Norfolk. Tho it is difficult for military people to keep and bear arms thanks to our silly base policies.

“Gun Death” Mental Illness

We can’t let sickos have guns:

An Alabama man accused of fatally stabbing his 2-year-old son wailed, banged his head on a table and asked a central Indiana judge for a rope during his initial court appearance Thursday.

Micah William Harrison, 30, of Robertsdale, Ala., feared someone was trying to kill him Wednesday when he fatally stabbed his 2-year-old son, Michael, in the chest with a kitchen knife and in the forehead with a nail-pulling tool, Noblesville police said in a probable cause affidavit.

The story doesn’t even make any sense, so unless he’s acting he’s likely crazy. OK Let’s face it, he killed his 2-year-old son, no sane person does this.

The real shame is that nothing good will come from this. Either he’ll get committed in a mental institution where we will feed and clothe him, and he’ll be a constant danger to the other inmates and the staff, or they’ll execute him DECADES from now.

Hey, but at least he didn’t use a gun, right?

On Armalite

So Chris Over at Arma Borealis had an interesting exchange with Armalite. Go read the whole thing, but I’ll toss in some excepts.

ArmaLite is continuing a policy put into place when California first banned our rifles. That policy remains:

1. We will not sell to those states which deny it’s honorable citizens the right to own ArmaLite’s.

2. We do not halt sales to individual officers even in problematic states. I am a former Police Officer myself, and the staffer who stimulated the recent anger is a currently serving one. We are well familiar with the fact that most rifles serving Police Officers are purchased by the officers themselves, and that they shouldn’t be punished for the actions of their political elite.
We consider sales to those sate subdivisions which are not engaged or potentially engaged with disarming its citizens. DNR and Forestry Departments, for instance, sometimes serve in remote areas that conceal drug farms and their officers deserve good hardware.

3. We will not sell to those lower political subdivisions that deny their honorable citizens the right to own ArmaLite’s. Chicago, for instance, prohibits its citizens from owning ArmaLite’s within the city limits so we make no effort to sell into that city. We have many friends on the Chicago Police Department and have continued to sell to them individually.

Our observation is that most County Sheriffs disagree with banning sales of our rifles and many publicly refuse to enforce such laws. We sell to those departments and to their Deputies, but will not sell to those County departments headed by Sheriffs who would deny their citizens the same rights.

In short, Americans need not worry that ArmaLite is selling to those who betray them.

Now on one hand, it appears that Armalite is caving to the gun banners, they’ll still sell stuff to LEOs that can’t be owned by non-badged citizens. (Sorry, my life is just as precious as a cop’s!)

On the other hand they RESPONDED! And Responded in a twisty sort of way that makes them look like they support the boycott. So on one hand its a company acting shitty, on the other, it shows that the New York boycott is getting so much press that gun companies are having a hard to ignoring it.

I think overall this is signs that we’re winning!

Still the results are mixed, what do you all think?

Deodand

You gotta be impressed with the level of hoplophobia:

Police chiefs in New Hampshire wanted more money for their youth training program. A youth hockey team in North Dakota needed more ice time.

Both saw giving away guns as the answer.

From car dealerships to political parties to hockey teams to yes, even police chiefs, gun giveaways are an attractive way to make money or draw in customers. But in the wake of the deadly shooting rampage in a Connecticut elementary school, such raffles are drawing criticism as the ease of obtaining firearms fuels gun-control debates nationwide.

The New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police is raffling off a gun every day in May, including a Ruger AR-15-style rifle with 30-round magazine similar to the one used in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that killed 20 children and six educators in December. The players in West Fargo’s Youth Hockey Association will raffle off 200 guns and an all-terrain vehicle next month. Up for grabs are shotguns, handguns hunting rifles and semi-automatic rifles.

Both were planned long before the shooting in Newtown invigorated calls for increased gun control. That didn’t stop critics from blasting the raffles as, at best, in poor taste and, at worst, criminal.

John Rosenthal, founder and director of the Massachusetts-based Stop Handgun Violence, called the chiefs’ raffle “insane” and “criminally irresponsible.”

I’m sorry, but who are those guns harming? I can tell you who those guns are helping. Further, Old John Rosenthal seems to be ignoring national crime is DOWN while all these guns are flying off the shelf.

Also Massachusetts is not a safe place despite all his stupid dreams being reality here. Oh, and Rosenthal and his Joyce Foundation backers want MORE restrictions.

I think its obvious what side is the rational one. They talk about “Common Sense”, we LIVE it!

One Way To Celebrate

I’d have just bought a new gun and gone to the range….

Authorities say two brothers accidentally blew up their house after celebrating a $75,000 winning lottery ticket by purchasing marijuana and meth.

Wichita police Sgt. Bruce Watts said one of the brothers was taken to a hospital and the other to jail after Friday’s explosion. The Wichita Eagle reported that the injured 27-year-old brother is in serious but stable condition with second-degree burns on his hands, arms and chest.

Watts said the explosion happened after one of the brothers went to the kitchen to refuel the butane torches they planned to use to light their bongs. The brother emptied a couple large cans of butane lighter fluid, leaking butane into the air.

Eventually, butane vapor reached the pilot light in the furnace, causing the blast.

Junkies can be sloppy, and I’m sure if you’re stoned and rocked-up on meth your sense of smell has got to be lousy.

Well that’s a night to remember, and like most lottery winners these jokers will be poorer than when they started.

He Should Talk

Chicago’s top cop likens gun lobby’s influence to corruption

Wow a Chicago cop said this? I R O N Y!!!

“If there was a special interest influencing police work, I believe that would be called corruption,” McCarthy said. “So, if it has to do with donating money, versus a popular vote, I think we have a bigger problem in this country and someone has to wake up to that.”

Gun rights advocates seized on the comments, saying that McCarthy was blaming the city’s gun violence on donors and lobbyists who advocate for the Second Amendment.

So not only is he against the 2nd Amendment, but his complaints against petition of government and donating to political causes is pretty anti first Amendment as well. Anti-freedom, not anti gun.

Also interesting that a Police Chief serves at the pleasure of the Mayor, so a POLITICIAN can have a Chief removed, or replaced at any time. By his definition that’s “Corruption”. Pot, meet kettle!

Despite having some of the toughest gun laws in the nation, Chicago saw more than 500 homicides last year for the first time since 2008, and some 43 murders took place in January. That has prompted several pro-gun rights groups to say it proves new gun control measures aren’t the answer.

Less guns, more crime! And last for more stupid irony:

“When people say concealed carry, I say Trayvon Martin,” McCarthy said, referring to the Florida teen who was shot and killed last February by a neighborhood watch volunteer, sparking controversy across the country. “I say Trayvon Martin because the answer to guns is not more guns, and just simply putting guns in people’s hands is going to lead to more tragedy.”

What’s that on your hip officer? How about those guys behind you? What’s in your patrol cars?

If guns are so bad, why do we let self-labeled “Corrupt” cops have them?

More “We Aren’t Coming For Your Guns”

Let’s just kill that stupid meme:

Missouri Democrats are trying to rid the state of assault weapons and high-capacity gun magazines.

Democrats in the state House have proposed a bill that would force gun owners to either surrender or destroy weapons including semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines and semi-automatic pistols with a fixed magazine that can shoot more than 10 rounds before being reloaded.

Ammunition-feeding devices that can hold more than 10 rounds also would be banned. Owners also could send their weapons to another state instead of surrendering or destroying them and would have 90 days after the bill’s passage to make a decision.

Not sure what “Semi-automatic pistols with a fixed Magazine” they might be talking about, maybe a typo. Still the intent is pretty obvious, they want to take ALL of the most popular rifles, and pistols, as well as their magazines and have them destroyed. Now criminals will be unaffected, as Police already have the right to seize ANY firearm in criminal hands. What they’re going to be taking is your hunting rifle, your collectors items, your carry gun, and your home defense gun.

This is the plan across the board for anti-rights politicians, its ALWAYS about confiscation. This includes various “Assault Weapon” and magazine bans, but it also includes these “Background Check” bills. Remember with universal background check all guns sold or transferred would need to go through the ATF via an FFL, this won’t effect guns you have NOW…but you can’t live forever. When you die your family will have a choice, retain your firearms and commit a serious federal felony (that harms no one) or submit them for registration.

This doesn’t improve safety, but when we know their end game, we can read the writings on the wall.

“Gun Death” Fire Attack

Not firearms, just fire:

Miami-Dade Police have named a pair of suspects they say nearly killed a man when they set him on fire Christmas night…”We believe through the investigation that he did use the gas that the victim purchased. He used it to douse him with it and set him on fire,” Javier Baez said of Summersett.

Hey, but let’s focus on the guns, not the violent people in society!

Rand Paul, Looking Presidential

Man I keep getting more and more impressed with Senator Rand Paul.

I feel the same way listening to him as I do his father…without that horrible sinking feeling I get when he says something horribly stupid, or points out he hasn’t really thought through how his radical government cuts would actually be implemented.
