Guns aren’t like cars…what about cement trucks?

A woman was hit and killed by a cement mixer as she walked across a busy North Dallas intersection Monday morning, according to police.

The accident happened about 9 a.m. on Northwest Highway at Preston Road.

Witnesses say the woman crossed Northwest Highway with a green light when the concrete truck turned from Preston west onto Northwest Highway.

The rear wheels of the truck struck the woman, knocking her down. She died at the scene.

Hey, but no “Gun Death” so let’s just ignore this tragic event…

“Gun Death” a REALLY BAD ONE

Seriously, BAD

A couple have been accused of killing a nine-month-old baby boy by injecting him with heroin and cocaine.

Oscar Sanchez-Rivera, 24, and Viameri Santana-Berrios, 27, were babysitting the boy when he died from a drug overdose.

Doctors found needle marks on his hands and feet as well as undigested heroin and cocaine in his body.

So they were injecting the baby, but also FEEDING him drugs???? WTF? WHY would you do this? This is beyond “He was crying and the dope made him stop”, this is two sick people making a living baby into a dead drug Piñata!

I fucking DARE the antis to say that because this isn’t a “Gun Death” it isn’t worth their attention!

“Gun Death” Loving Boyfriend

What a nice guy!

The 19-year-old boyfriend of Raeviana Satterfield confessed to putting her in a headlock and choking her to death, according to an Oklahoma County court affidavit…Sykes told investigators that he had been arguing and fighting with Satterfield and that during the fight, he placed her in a headlock and lifted upward. According to investigators, Sykes said he held the headlock until Satterfield stopped struggling.

Odd how those who use “Gun Death” seem to hold the promise if we get rid of guns we’ll get rid of murders like this. Of course the reality is they don’t care.

“Gun Death” Bus Beating

Wow, doesn’t really seem worth it:

A school bus driver who was beaten into a coma after a minor traffic accident along his route has died of his injuries, his employer said Saturday.

Juan DelValle, 65, was taken off life support and died Friday at the hospital where he had been treated since the June 11 attack, an Atlantic Express Transportation Group spokeswoman said….DelValle, an Atlantic Express employee for eight years, was driving down a Bronx street when his yellow bus clipped the side mirror on a double-parked car. Two middle school students were on the bus at the time; they weren’t hurt.

DelValle got out of the bus, and the car’s driver accosted and punched him, authorities said. With the middle-schoolers looking on, DelValle was knocked off his feet, and his head hit the pavement.

First up asshole, you illegally parked your car, and you beat another man to DEATH because you’re an asshole??? Also this is NYC, where guns are essentially banned, and knives are heavily restricted…its essentially a mini England. And a Bus drive was beaten to death…yep no weapons needed…well unless the Bus driver wanted to defend himself, I suspect a gun would have been good for him.

This is the paradise that Michael Bloomberg has created for his subjects!

“Gun Death” Shovel

Why would ANYBODY NEED a SHOVEL????

An award-winning children’s book illustrator is recovering after an attack in her home by a shovel-wielding teenager.

Jane Dyer tells The Daily Hampshire Gazette the 14-year-old boy entered her home in rural Cummington on July 26 and struck her in the back of the head with the shovel.

He continued to beat her while she lay on the floor. He left and was arrested about a half hour later.

Why do we have so many shovels in America? You can’t dig with them! They have no purpose other than beating lots of people!

A former NASA astronaut who commanded space shuttle Discovery’s second-to-last mission died after a water scooter crash involving his sons near Pensacola Beach.

Capt. Alan Poindexter, 50, died Sunday after a water scooter driven by his 26-year-old son, Zachary, collided into the back of another one the former astronaut was riding.

Spitzer Demands Gun Control, Miguel gets the Last Word

They give the antis the time, but they give Miguel the final word! Go have a look!

I like Spitzer’s idea, because the gun companies won’t play, and the agencies will suffer, or cave. This is the same idea as Ron Barret refusing to sell any of his hardware to the State of California. Barret made his big bucks selling his .50 BMG rifles to sport shooters and collectors, and military and police discovered that the gun had some tactical implications. Barret expanded his products to smaller weapons with even more uses. Then California banned sales of .50 BMG rifles to civilians, and Ron told them they weren’t welcome to his products and stopped all sales.

The only downside to no government sales is its an easy way to defer development costs, hence why the Bushmaster ACR was claimed to be a $1,000 gun, but actually sells for closer to $3,000. When Bushmaster bought the rights of the rifle from Magpul they expected that they could get some government contracts for the gun…they didn’t, so rather than passing the cost over in large volume to the government, they have to pass the cost over smaller unit numbers…and guess what, people are buying them!

Spitzer thinks they have that power…but we KNOW they don’t. Certainly this will never happen to the military because the Department of Defense won’t risk losing weapon supplies. The state police agencies? They might be that dumb, and just imagine what things will look like once the service guns need new springs, or extractors, or trigger bars…and the parts bin is empty because S&W and Glock aren’t interested in going back to the lean days of the 90s, so the agency can’t be re-supplied.

And who can they go with? They can’t buy S&W Revolvers, because Smith won’t forgoe their M&P pistols and Rifles for the sake of some police department, they can’t get Ruger Revolvers because Ruger has their own AR-15s, as well as their SR9 and 40 guns they won’t want to burn.

Maybe they can raid those “Buy Back” piles and start issuing the police rusty Iver Johnson and H&R revolvers, and rusty Raven pistols! Yeah the beat cops would LOVE that!

Light Blogging Ahead

Time for a week of relaxation in Vermont. No computers, no electricity, just lots of quiet time, swimming, and chilling with family. Blogging will be very light.

I took the liberty of doing a massive dump of articles this morning (mostly thanks to the amazing Bubblehead Les News Network! You’re awesome man, and we love you!) and of course thanks to everybody who has submitted articles for the “Gun Death?” Files which will be posted daily in my absence.

Morning Read

Mrs. Weer’d found this article this morning. I think it raises some good points:

But how do we know who is dangerous? The Brady Campaign mentions “convicted felons,” “convicted domestic abusers,” “terrorists,” and “people found to be dangerously mentally ill.” It omits a crucial category: people with dangerous ideas.

Wade M. Page, the Army veteran identified as the gunman who was shot to death by police after killing six people and injuring three at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, had documented ties to white supremacist groups….In other words, Page’s scary views were well-known long before he bought the 9mm handgun he used in this week’s attack. Yet he was still able to pass a federal background check.

Federal law currently bans gun ownership by felons, illegal drug users, people convicted of misdemeanors involving domestic violence, and people “committed to a mental institution” or “adjudicated as a mental defective.” Amazingly, there is no ideological test for gun ownership, even though someone like Page, “who fed and was fueled by hate” (as the Times put it), is far more dangerous than the average pot smoker or mental patient.

Now the article is a parody (later on the author points out that Thomas Jefferson fit the bill to have his rights removed), still I think the point is really solid. The anti-rights boilerplate of “Criminals”, “Mentally Ill”, and “Terrorists”, is pretty clear. Obviously the first two are already federal law, and I suspect they’re mentioned for confusion (tho I suspect they want to broaden “Mental Illness” to everybody who ever took an aspirin for a headache….certainly that whole “Due Process” part currently in place is too lenient! Remember “anti-freedom”, not “anti-gun”) but “Terrorist” means anybody on the Terror Watch List, which is full of non-terrorists, devoid of many KNOWN terrorists, and completely without oversight or the ability to challenge the citation.

The antis want to ban all guns…but the Constitution and public sentiment won’t let them do that, so they can simply declare us all “unfit” and leave the guns for the handful of political elite who can manipulate the system for their own gains!

Boilerplate

Anti-Freedom people are so stupid even forming their own thoughts is a difficult task:

Time magazine and CNN suspended Fareed Zakaria, the writer and television host, on Friday after he apologized for plagiarizing sections of his column on gun control in the Aug. 20 issue of Time.

Some passages in the column, “The Case for Gun Control,” closely tracked those in a longer article on guns in America by the historian Jill Lepore, which appeared in the April 23 issue of The New Yorker.

This is pretty wide-spread with anti-gun people, they copy their talking points and pat each other on the back for how “Smart” they are. This guy just went a bit further. Of course I know a few anti-rights blogs that do this every day. Its nothing new.
