Typical Anti

Bill O’Reilly who’s a big-government Republican and voluntarily lives in NYC shows the typical anti-rights argument:

So all of his “facts” are wrong. The Congressman is being interviewed because he knows his facts. O’Reilly calls him a liar.

This is how anti-rights people argue. They say the sky is green, and tell you you’re a liar when you speak the truth.

Again anti-rights arguments only exist in a magical pocket dimension that does not adhere to standard facts and logic.

Well Played Mr. Bale

No Politics, no grand-standing. Just support and reverence.

Given that Bale is a Brit and only in his 30s, I suspect he may have a little difficulty grasping our gun laws, and his international celebrity might make him think he needs to make a political statement.

But it appears he didn’t. He just met with the injured and gave his respects to the dead. He didn’t have to do this, we owe him nothing, but he realizes that those people in that theater were there to see him, and that was obviously important to him.

Good show!

“Gun Death” “Honor Killing”

Another one of these

A father in northwestern India remained unrepentant Tuesday after beheading his daughter with a ceremonial sword in a rage over her relationships with men, police said.

The father surrendered at a police station, carrying the head in one hand and the bloodied sword in the other, police said.

Hey but he didn’t use a gun!

Takedown!!!

Brother of one of the Aurora victims doesn’t like the blood of his sister being danced in:

Well put. I’m so sorry for your loss, and so sorry you have to deal with the jackals who see your sister’s death as nothing but political capital!

Sub Fire Update!

Remember that sub fire in Portsmouth? A lot of people suggested that it was incompetent “Hot Work” like welding or cutting that caught fire after the crew left the compartment.

It was much worse:

Navy investigators have determined that a civilian laborer set a fire that caused $400 million in damage to a nuclear-powered submarine because he had anxiety and wanted to get out of work early.

Casey James Fury of Portsmouth, N.H., faces up to life in prison if convicted of two counts of arson in the fire aboard the USS Miami attack submarine while it was in dry dock May 23 and a second blaze outside the sub on June 16.

The 24-year-old Casey was taking medications for anxiety and depression and told investigators he set the fires so he could get out of work, according a seven-page affidavit filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Portland.

Wow, what an ASSHOLE! Has he not heard of faking sick or lying about a family emergency….or hell just WALKING OUT? All of these moves are dickish and bad form, but better than STARTING A FIRE ON A NUCLEAR SUB!

I don’t know what the work environment is like in the shipyard (tho I know several civilians who work there who overall see it as a pretty nice job) but if you’re just having a bad day for medical reasons just tell your damn supervisor and get yourself healthy!

This jerk is going to be REALLY anxious in federal prison.

Goat Man Updated!

Not a perv, but a hunter!

State wildlife officials have identified the man who has been spotted dressed in a goat suit among a herd of wild goats in the mountains of northern Utah.

Phil Douglass of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources said Monday the mystery man is a 57-year-old hunter from Southern California.

Glad he wasn’t hunting for a goaty girlfriend!

Seems like a good idea for getting in range without spooking them!

Share the Road

I’m always grouchy when I see somebody with the Bicycle “Share the Road” sticker. This is of course an extreme example of why.

Cyclists were blocking traffic in protests and one guy had about enough. Not a nice move, but I can understand. Also glad nobody was killed. Still I have the same thought when I have to cross the double-yellow to pass a cyclist doing 15mph below the posted speed limit….only to have the asshole pass me again while I’m waiting at a red light that he cruises right through because the laws don’t apply to him.

When I’m riding my bike I’m WELL into the breakdown lane and I do EVERYTHING I can to stay away from the cars. I don’t want to be “One of them”, as “Sharing the Road” is the LAST thing they want to do. They don’t want to share, they want total control.

I Predicted This

After the shooting last week, Gun sales are up.

Colorado gun stores are seeing a big jump in demand for firearms since last Friday’s massacre at a midnight movie showing in Aurora.

Background checks for people wanting to buy guns in Colorado reportedly increased more than 41 percent after last week’s Aurora movie massacre. The Denver Post reports that firearm instructors have also seen increased interest in training needed for a concealed-carry permit.

“It’s been insane,” Jake Meyers, an employee at Rocky Mountain Guns and Ammo in Parker told the newspaper Monday.

Between Friday and Sunday, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation approved background checks for 2,887 people who wanted to purchase a firearm — a 43 percent increase over the previous Friday through Sunday and a 39 percent jump over those same days on the first weekend of July.

I used to be anti-gun because I thought they were dangerous and caused crime. Then I did some research and found that with just four basic rules and some common sense guns were REALLY safe, and not only were violent criminals going to do violence whatever tools they can get, and even if things are banned, they’ll simply smuggle guns in with the cocaine which is also illegal, but plentiful.

And I also learned that guns are used VERY frequently used to SAVE lives, and even in most of those cases the criminal flees rather than dies.

I changed my mind 180 Degrees and realized guns were better to have around than not, and I started buying guns and carrying guns.

Seems a lot more people are getting the same idea.
