“Gun Death” Hate Crime

Pretty Wanton Right here.

On a recent Sunday morning just before dawn, two carloads of white teenagers drove to Jackson, Mississippi, on what the county district attorney says was a mission of hate: to find and hurt a black person…James Craig Anderson, a 49-year-old auto plant worker, was standing in a parking lot, near his car. The teens allegedly beat Anderson repeatedly, yelled racial epithets, including “White Power!” according to witnesses.

Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith says a group of the teens then climbed into their large Ford F250 green pickup truck, floored the gas, and drove the truck right over Anderson, killing him instantly.

There’s surveillance video of the beating and murder at the link.

It upsets me when I see black groups oppose gun control and gun ownership, as a gun might have been the ONLY thing that could have saved Mr. Anderson, being outnumbered by a large group of youths interested in doing him grave harm simply because of the color of his skin. Of course groups like the Black Panthers do the exact same sort of crimes, just black-on-white. Most street gangs are racist in their membership, and who they target for their crimes. Then there’s countless other races, nation of origin, religion, sexual orientation, social status, and political views that can also be targeted for violent crime.

These London Rioters are pointing out they are pillaging and burning buildings to target the “Rich” and “Conservatives”.

There are lots of reasons that the most crude and crass among us might use to justify causing harm to another. Carry your guns. Such rudeness loses its luster if the thugs realize they can and will be killed by their victims in fear for their lives.

Going Dark

Heading up to Vermont for a week. I’ll probably be checking in from time-to-time with my phone, but overall it should be kinda quiet in here. Got some good files loaded under “Gun Death?” so you’ll have some stuff to talk about, and something to read in the morning.

And we’re loading up tunes for the drive up north and I discovered FantomenK has some new songs up.

Rock out!

Buried Treasure

Maybe my Navy readers can shed some light on this. This was found buried under where my deck used to be. The deck was installed in the late 60s early 70s the house build in the 1920s.

Not sure if the spoon was bent by somebody, bent when it was buried or discarded, or if it was always like that. Crazy shiny right out of the ground, so I assume its stainless and non silver.

Looks like a Navy spoon to my untrained eyes. Anybody know more about these things, its kinda neat!

All sorts of stuff surfaced when they dug up the yard. Lots of old china pieces and coal cinders probably from when the house had a coal shoot and a coal boiler.

Well I’m holding on to my new treasure until Dr. Indiana Jones tells me it belongs in a Museum!

“Gun Death” Blind Man

In a “Perfect World” these are the crimes those who use the metric of “Gun Death” dream of.

A 17-year-old Bel Air, MD, boy has been charged with murder in connection with the Friday night stabbing death of a blind man…Worrell said in a press release that Graham was trying to burglarize Ward’s apartment. Ward startled Graham, who then allegedly stabbed him multiple times and fled the area.

A disabled man is murdered by a juvenile criminal. In the philosophy of Collin Goddard the best solution is for us all to pluck our eyes out. If the whole world was blind there wouldn’t be any “Gun Death”, as making a sight picture would be impossible.

Of course would the criminal element agree to pluck out their own eyes for our safety?

Yeah.

Full-Auto Stupid

Story Here

Police locked down the Albany campus of Linn-Benton Community College after getting reports of a man wearing full military camoflauge running along the streets firing a rifle…Police said the boys had just watched “Heartbreak Ridge” and were playing with a replica M60. The gun was painted black but had an orange tip on the barrel.

Kids playing with toys. I’ll note that we used to play with toy guns all the time, often on public land, and this was before the law mandated that orange tip nonsense.

Of course this is Albany NY where they clamp down on gun owners with an iron fist, (Sorry its inOregon -Management) and instill irrational fears in the mushy skulls of the “Progressive” residents.

Kids playing….and adult children shitting their pants.

That Feel!

Very very interesting article by Todd G. at Pistol training.

So finally I put it on the shot timer and it was slower: on average, 0.06 seconds slower. Six. Hundredths. Of a second. If you’d asked me, I would have told you it felt like half a second or more. Feelings lie.

Go read the whole thing. I know when I handled Jay’s S&W360PD with the VZ Grips it was wearing in this now-famous shot:

The grips felt hard, and while the G10 is grippy stuff, they’re “Smooth” G10 not the really aggressive stuff that feels like it was chopped off an Alligator’s tale. It was my guess that this gun was gonna wanna twist and buck in my hands, and that the hard grip was going to make the punishing .357 recoil out of a flyweight gun feel like a tack hammer to my thumb.

I was DEAD wrong. Its still a flyweight .357, you can erase physics, but the grips must allow for a firmer grip so there is LESS bucking, and therefore less hammering.

I’m strongly considering getting a pair of them for my S&W642 for those exact reasons!

“Gun Death” Toxic Teat

Wow, this is a bad one.

A Northern California woman has been accused of knowingly killing her infant son by breastfeeding him shortly after ingesting large amounts of methamphetamine.

Mom doesn’t have the maternal sense to get off the bathtub crank while caring for an infant (also I wonder if she was off the crank while she was pregnant), but certainly was maternal enough to breast feed her kid, despite her fluids being lethal.

Also for the lovely “Gun Death” folks. They point out that by banning or restricting guns they’ll stop “Gun Death” (and somehow that alone without an overall decrease in violent crime). They never seem to look much at the drug culture. First up, the majority of “Gun Deaths” are tied in with the illegal drug trade, as well as many of the violent crimes seen here in the “Gun Death?” Files. But also look at all the people using, abusing, and dying from use of ILLEGAL drugs. In Massachusetts we need a permit, background check, and take a training course to buy a gun. You can’t do ANYTHING to legally get a hold of Methamphetamine. Yet they both exist in the criminal population.

Maybe we need a different course of action. Its the PEOPLE not the tool!
