Quote of the Day: Allen West

I love this!

Look, Debbie, I understand that after I departed the House floor you directed your floor speech comments directly towards me. Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!

I am bringing your actions today to our Majority Leader and Majority Whip and from this time forward, understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior……which dates back to the disgusting protest you ordered at my campaign hqs, October 2010 in Deerfield Beach.

You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!

Steadfast and Loyal

Congressman Allen B West (R-FL)

The ONE (and only one) thing I respect about British Parliament is that they have no obligation to be respectful of the idiotic rantings of their colleagues. I’m glad to hear Representative West speaking frankly. I only have one quibble: “You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives.”? Allen I ask you to give Barney Frank a closer look before you make such distinctions. 🙂

Collin Goddard back at it!

He was on a satellite radio show out of DC hosted by two guys who have Air America as a big part of their resumes. The interview is in two parts found here (show dated on the 17th).

Again a lot is the same from the other interviews you’ve heard, I don’t fault Goddard on this, I’ve been interviewed several times on how I became a gunnie, and overall the story is just a repetition. Each new show is a new audience, so he can’t expect the same people to be hearing the re-run of his story on that day. I will also note that the consistency of his telling of the VT shooting does imply that it is indeed the story as he remembers it, not that that has ever been in dispute.

Of course in 2 segments they take ONE call (Seems like the talk format for right-wing radio is to take lots of calls, and do minimum screening, yet on the left it seems to be a token add-on) and the guy’s points aren’t all that strong, as he mostly talks against the NICS check system about foolish flaws. Goddard admits that NICS is flawed, so at least we have that. Still the call ends with the host losing his temper and claiming that Collin was shot because Seung Cho didn’t undergo a federal background check. Collin makes no effort to correct this egregious error. (!)

What got me the most was how coached the hosts sounded. Not sure if they were working off an outline or they had discussed the interview before air-time. Collin spent most of the interview talking about private sales. Of course he only talks about what is LEGAL with private sales, and never seems to mention what is ILLEGAL (like knowingly selling to somebody out of state, or to a criminal). For those looking for ammo, Collin admits that family-member private sales should be exempted from universal background checks. That might be worthy of a clip-and-save if you’re into such things.

Still suddenly there was a ham-handed segue to “What if you are a suspected terrorist?” You have to hear it to believe how amateur these guys sound. Of course they go back and forth about how unreasonable this is, but they’re all just patting themselves on the backs, and ignoring that the Terrorist Watch List is full of people who aren’t terrorists, and there are lots of terrorists who aren’t on the list. In other-words the list is worthless, and certainly shouldn’t be used for anything and concrete as the denial of rights.

It also appears that Collin is done promoting Living For 32, as he’s only asked to give a brief word about it at the end of the interview.

I know very little about satellite radio, and NOTHING about this show, I wonder how many ears this interview reached. Certainly all the interviews given to Mr. Goddard the hosts have been openly anti-gun and all questions asked were simple interview questions, and never anything that might actually spur any debate or discussion.

Again we see that the Antis are forced to hide in the shadows. Their positions are so indefensible that they can only discuss it with their own kind in closed forums.

Meanwhile pro-freedom activists are out there and available. Says a lot about a position, doesn’t it?

Helping Us as they Try to Hurt Us

Just found this report issued by Joyce front group Legal Community Against Violence. (PDF)

They are talking about “dangerous” laws for people carrying guns in public. They show the decline in conceal carry restrictions, then they talk about how few states restrict where people may carry guns.

What they fail to demonstrate, of course, is where the problem is. Of course this is a fantastic support for REMOVING restrictions on those who wish to carry arms for self defense.

Thanks guy! Keep using that Joyce Foundation money to help us out!

“Gun Death” Good Samaritan

Some cynical people have been known to say “No Good Deed Goes Unpunished”.

The fight wasn’t Paris Smith’s, but it killed him anyway.

Smith, 21, tried to help a friend and break up a row in the 1600 block of Washington Avenue at about 2 a.m. July 2, according to Des Moines police. He was stabbed repeatedly for his efforts and died from his injuries Monday afternoon at Mercy Medical Center.

A very brave deed, sadly it did not turn out well for him.

But gun control advocates would point out that at least he wasn’t shot. Right?

Classic Games: Remember This One?

I’d Forgotten about this game:

Bad Justice: Serial Stabber

No matter what gun control is passed, it won’t amount to a hill of beans so long as we simply free the monsters when we catch them.

Byars was arrested last night. Records show a criminal history first beginning in 2009. Three separate charges ranging from assault to throwing body fluids on a government worker to throwing objects at a vehicle were filed against him in the past two years. Each time, Byars was given a suspended sentence and competency hearings. But he never went to prison. The most recent suspended sentence was given to him last November.

Seriously! As I said over at Jennifer’s

Glad they got him. Too bad he wasn’t ID’d by Mortuary photos.

I just don’t have enough faith in the Justice system to think he won’t be playing this game again.

Hearing his past record only solidifies my thoughts on the matter. I really DO wish somebody had shot this asshole. He’ll be back out on the streets in no time and back to these horrible games.

Carry your guns people, not only might you save your life, but the lives of many others!

“Gun Death” The Big Story

Was planning on dropping this one in the magazine and air it around the end of the week, but the story is just too hot. Robb already did a post on it. Also I got pings from WizardPC, Jennifer, and Wallphone. So thanks to you all, and here’s the story.

A relative of the Port St Lucie teen accused of beating his parents to death with a hammer before throwing a house party says the murders have shocked and devastated the “normal family.”

If you don’t have a hammer you’re a liar. I think there are over a half-dozen Framing hammers in this house alone, let alone rubber mallets, dead blow hammers, tack hammers, various mallets, and sledge hammers. They’re extremely useful tools, but also they can easily be used to commit murder. Again what’s the difference between my hammers and this freaks?

The freak! I have no interest in killing another person, so my hammers are just used for assembling and disassembling household items.

Nope its the sick bastard that’s the missing component in this sick tale. And of course the case is made given that this fucking monster THREW A PARTY after he finished killing his folks.

But of course that isn’t any concern to those who hate freedom, as only “Gun Deaths” count, and this was a hammer death!

Again thanks to all who submitted the story, and extra credit for those who added a sick joke tagline to the correspondence. You know who you are! And you should be ashamed! 😉

No Idea What I did

So I was attempting to add more feeds to my SBS Blogroll widget. It seems that adding any more feeds pisses it off, and causes it to crash.

I attempted to install RSS Blogroll, to see if it works any better.

It really didn’t. So I put the SBS Blogroll back, and it worked for a bit, then crashed, and now won’t run.

Oh well, I’ll mess with it later to see if we can get it running again.

Sorry for the troubles!

**UPDATE** Still have no idea what I’m doing, but I got it running again. Strangely enough the fix involved removing Groundhog’s RSS feed, given that it was the longest in length and took up two lines inside the widget. Very strange, given that he was one of the first blogs I added to the system.

Overall I’m kinda fed-up with this widget, so if anybody could help me find a replacement that might work better, I’m all for it!

Time To End Women’s Lib!

I’m not even going to quote any of it. But Joan Peterson, Brady Campaign board member, and Joyce Foundation spokeswoman lays it right out! Women are too stupid and weak to own or carry guns safely.

Yep and she has news stories that don’t exactly support her case, and VPC “Studies” that have been discredited years ago, if not decades, (not to mention the ethical issues of her using studies cooked up by an organization she works for without disclosing their relationship), Youtube Videos that show negligent instruction of new shooters, and of course elementary questions that are answered in every 101 Concealed carry course. Ie: Q: “How do you keep the trigger from being pulled on gun hidden in a purse” A: Use a holster either integral with the purse, or that snugly fits the gun. Q: “How do you keep your kids from finding the gun in your purse?” A: If you carry a gun in an off-body holder, that holder can ONLY leave your body if it is placed in a secure container or area. ie: you may lock you purse in a drawer, a safe, or a locker. You may NOT set it down on your desk, or the service counter of a store. If you often put your purse down, you probably shouldn’t carry in a purse.

Personally I think its VERY wise for women everywhere to take the advice of a women who is not only an anti-rights shill, but an idiot. Her expertise in guns shouldn’t be questioned, and yes indeed lamps are deadly weapons and should be banned!

Personally I think all the women gun owners should give up their guns! They’re just too dangerous and too complicated. I also think that women shouldn’t be Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians, Activists, or public employees. As a matter of fact I think they probably shouldn’t drive either!

Well maybe that or maybe people like Joan Peterson as well as all others directly affiliated with the Joyce Foundation and the Brady Campaign are stupid people with irrational fears, and their only way to cope with a world that won’t listen to them is to compulsively lie and hope maybe SOMEBODY will believe them.

Joan, you’re a bigot, and an idiot, and I wish you as much good will as you wish to me and my individual rights.

I will not rest until your entire ideology is crushed, and you, and your organizations are a shameful black mark in the history books.
