Come on Bob, give her a CHANCE!

So Joan Peterson is pimping another Brady Campaign front-group God Not Guns. (Kinda funny how these anti-rights bloggers seem to always seem to have connections to the Brady Campaign, and the Joyce Foundation, and seem to only reference other groups under that same umbrella)

Well Bob comes in and gives her quite the kicking.

First she comments how he’s commenting in the open and not unnamed anymore, and she admits she was deleting his comments simply because she KNEW they came from him, but reasonable comments who she didn’t know who they came from were published.

Then Bob does what he does best, which is quote the bible to show that God does indeed support self defense.

Also the 2nd Half of Eric Shelton’s latest handgun podcast touches on this very issue.

Go over there, but if you have any sympathy for Bigot and Brady Puppet Joan Peterson, you might want to avert your eyes. 🙂

“Gun Death” Dismemberment

Bob sent me this story and the line: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…even if it stays in pieces” I’m amused by black humor. Tho I will also say we must remember this is a person’s life.

A Las Vegas burlesque dancer found dismembered and encased in concrete was strangled, according to a coroner’s report released Tuesday.

The death of Deborah Flores-Narvaez, 31, also was ruled a homicide, Clark County Assistant Coroner John Fudenberg said.

Flores-Narvaez’s body was found early Saturday in a downtown Las Vegas home after she was reported missing on Dec. 14.

Police said the dancer’s former boyfriend Jason Griffith choked her, chopped off her legs then covered her with concrete.

Totally brutal, but gun free, so nothing to see here! The fact that the anti-freedom nuts focus only on the guns and not the monsters who commit violent crimes is DEFINITELY nothing to laugh at!

Podcast Review

So last night was yet another Vicious Circle. We didn’t have as high a live listernship because none of us were sure it was even going to happen until Alan called us.

On Thursday there was a BB&Guns featureing all people I know, namely Breda, Jay, and Guest Marko. Haven’t heard it yet, but Breda puts out consistantly good product, so I’ll just recommend it out-of-the-box! 🙂

Oh and while always a great show, the Handgun Podcast dealt extensively with the Arizona shooting, as Eric is a resident of Tuscon. If you haven’t listened to a handgun podcast this would be the time to start.

Been having some late nights and some long days, so I dunno about yous guys, but my chores are done, I’m gonna go put on a movie and hop into my rack for a bit of a nap!

Quick Question

When shooting handguns what sights do you prefer? Fixed vs. Adjustable? Black-on-black? Hi-viz fibers? 3-dot?

And why do you like this?

I shoot 3-dots and prefer them because they’re what I have the most experience with, and I like the contrast as they show up well against light backgrounds as well as dark. But the bottom line is its what I’m used to. You guys any different?

“Gun Death” Buried

A Gruesome one. This one is from Brazil, where guns are heavily regulated.

Two Brazilian brothers were facing murder charges on Saturday after they confessed to burying their father alive, Globo TV’s G1 website reported.

The brothers were arrested in the Maranhao city of Timon in Brazil’s northeastern region and a neighbor of the victim was also taken into custody for his alleged assistance in digging the grave for the grisly Dec. 29 burial.

Police chief Antonio Valente Filho told G1 that the brothers, aged 18 and 21, claim they were driven to kill their father because he disapproved of their homosexuality and beat them constantly.

Now Bob sent me this story and wanted to point out that these brothers, aged 18 and 21 are ages that the anti-rights nuts call “Children”. In fact these are adults, and they used a shovel and dirt to commit murder. Why do so many people focus so much on the gun rather than the monsters among us?

GOOD!

The Republican party chairman, Michael Steele – the first African-American to hold the post, was ignominiously pushed out of office today after a two-year tenure dogged by controversy and debts.

Good Michael Steel was a Bush Apologist and the Authoritarian Republican that the country doesn’t need. As a general rule Authoritarians, left or right are bad news, and I’ll point out that overall President Obama isn’t all that different from President Bush.

Let’s hope for a better chair, but I’m not holding my breath.
