“Gun Death” Wrong Way

Here’s a story that’s pretty common.

An alleged wrong way drunk driver accused of killing a 34-year-old mother has made an appearance in court after being released from the hospital….The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department says Salas-Gaytan had previously been twice ticketed by Milwaukee police for driving without a license.

The sheriff’s department says Salas-Gaytan also admits he’s an illegal immigrant. Immigration authorities said they have not heard of him until now…State Rep. Josh Zepnick (D-Milwaukee) is upset Salas-Gaytan would face a jail sentence here before deportation.

So many angles here.
-Illegal immigrant
-Drunk Driver
-Driving Wrong Way on the Highway
-No Driver’s License.
-Repeat Offender
-Negligent Homicide

All of these things are crimes in themselves, and like “Gun Crime” the law does nothing to stop the criminal from violating them, but it does allow us to punish them when caught. The fact that this jerk was NOT punished BEFORE this show the failings of the system

The fact that we may lock this bastard up BEFORE sending him home is even worse. Frankly I think we should deport him with time served….to Kandahar with nothing but a pair of flip-flops…. But let’s face it, I’m more angry at the system for letting such a reprobate go as long as they did. This is why the Arizona immigration law was so important. Can you imagine a citizen getting pulled over TWICE for driving without a license and still being allowed to keep driving around? But given that this would be a job for ICE, and ICE doesn’t answer the phone with local police call, he’s above the law….until he kills somebody and makes a national spectacle of himself.

Tread Lightly

So as you all know a US Congresswoman and a federal Judge, as well as several other people where shot yesterday.

My first thought being in Arizona if it might be a Cartel move. I of course was wrong. Tam explains quite well how classless it is to make political hay while the bodies are still warm and the facts are still trickling in.

Of course several have decided to charge ahead and make capital out of loss of life. Also two of our favorite useful idiots here and here.

My only statement is if there were that many high government officials in one place why am I not hearing about security returning fire to protect the innocents and the elected and appointed people of the United States?

I will say that while I will cast aspersions on many politicians, I will point out that their lives can be weighed slightly higher than that of the average Joe simply by the connection of their elections, or the scope of their job over our lives. Allowing a single mentally-ill person to assault them is attack on not just them but all of us. This goes for people who’s politics I strongly agree with, and with those who are vehemently against my total world view, and everybody in between. If you are elected by the masses the action of one loner should NOT cause a major disruption like this.

Of course I’m still information gathering, so I will say this is all going on what I’ve heard or read.

And of course my heart goes out to the families and victims of this horrible act.

“Gun Death” Poison

This is a strange one.

Indianapolis police say they’re investigating the death of a 3-day-old whose mother ate rat poison a week before giving birth.

They say the woman intentionally ate the poison, no motive given, but that she’s in the nut-house now. Could be a suicide attempt, could be that she was attempting to have a drug experience. I’ve heard stories of prisoners cooking rat poison to make a hallucinogen. (Anybody else heard of this?), or it could be just plain crazy.

One thing for sure, it wasn’t a “Gun Death”, that’s for sure.

“Gun Death” Classy, Asshole.

What a fucking jerk!

A St. Paul man frustrated by his baby’s screaming admitted that he shook the child so hard he caused the infant permanent brain damage.

Hey but he didn’t shoot his baby, so what’s the problem?

Well Played, Paul!

I’m falling back in Love with my Home State of Maine.

As promised, Gov. Paul LePage dived into work on his first day in office and promptly sparked a political fracas by rescinding a policy that the new administration contends painted Maine as a “sanctuary state” for illegal immigrants.

LePage signed an executive order Thursday evening directing all state employees to “cooperate with employees and officials of the federal government on all matters pertinent to immigration.”…“We have got many fiscal issues, and I am intending to take care of Mainers first,” LePage said. Asked whether there was a big problem with undocumented immigrants receiving unwarranted benefits, the Republican replied: “I know of a few right now. We may not have many, but we have a few.”

Why is this controversial? What other fugitive from justice is able to tap into the public trough? If you’re an Immigrant and followed the rules you’re welcome! If you are a trespasser in my nation, get the fuck out!

I’m glad Maine isn’t putting up with freeloaders anymore. All the states are in rough financial state because of the economy, and government dumping every pie-int-the-sky on the old charge card. Its time to cut the fat, and I can’t find a cut that is any LESS controversial than cutting off criminals from the wellfare ranks, and harboring fugitives from justice.

Good work Maine in electing the right man for the job!

Heh

OK a Rude and childish disruption, but well executed as such a simple plan can be.

Look I’m not a Birther, I’m not an expert on the definition of “Natural Born Citizen”, but as far as I can tell the fact that Stanley Anne Dunham is the President’s late Mother, and the Late Ms. Dunham was a Natural Born US Citizen. Doesn’t that make the President a “Natural Born Citizen” if he was born in DC, Hawaii, Kenya, Rammstein Air Base, Kabul, or Mars?

Still I will say when I got my Passport, and when I got my Carry Permits, and countless other official requests and documents I had to present a notarized copy of my US Birth Certificate. Seems pretty ironic that the US President has such a stringent restriction, but doesn’t require such a mundane proof.

**Update** Birth Certificate released
