“Gun Death” Nuts

Just a sick story here

Metro Police say a man stabbed his wife to death in front of their children, then lost control of his vehicle and was killed when he struck a tree.

My heart goes out to the children. What a sick case. I will point out I discovered this story simply because no firearm was used. It wasn’t needed, was it?

We Can Totally Trust Them?

“Peterson says supporters of such legislation are often painted as people who hate guns, but she says she’s not anti-gun, anti-hunter, or anti-anyone’s rights. She and her husband own guns and come from a hunting family. They keep the guns locked in a metal safe.” -Joan Peterson, Brady Campaign.

“His intent, and the intent of the gun lobby, is clear. They are going to fight for their vision of anybody being able to have any gun anywhere in America, all the time. And I believe the courts will continue to reject that vision and endorse sensible restrictions, short of complete handgun bans, that save American lives.” -Paul Helmke, Brady Campaign

So the Antis keep telling us they aren’t coming for our guns, and bans are off the table. But can we trust them?

Here you’ll see Joan Peterson praising The Justice Breyer interview seen here.

Woah, if Heller and McDonald are the Bees Knees and prove the point that the Brady Bunch and the Joyce Foundation were NEVER after gun bans…..well except that both groups were against the Supreme Court before they were for them….and well the Brady Camp was once “Handgun Control International”, and the Joyce Foundation group Violence Policy Center is always singling out various guns as “Too Dangerous” and demanding bans.

If Heller and McDonald were good rulings, why sound so happy at the words of the dissent? Sounds like the Pro-lifers when talking about the missteps of Roe v. Wade. I mean the pro-life camp does want to ban Abortion, I don’t think they’re very ashamed of it, and they want that ruling overturned so they will have the freedom to do so.

How about this post? “What’s natural about gun rights?”

Wait, Heller and McDonald are good rulings that take gun bans off the table, but they also recognized the 2nd Amendment as an individual right…AKA a natural right.

And in the comments to that post Joan says this:

And I choose the right to be safe from gun violence by not wanting criminals, domestic abusers, etc. to legally have their guns and wanting gun owners to store their guns safely so they are not stolen and education so that children do not gain access to loaded guns and for everyone to admit that guns are lethal weapons that get used in every day incidents to kill innocent people more often than they get used in self defense.–Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to me means a life free of gun violence as much as possible.

Hmmm, the law makes in illegal for criminals, and domestic abusers to have guns. If people are negligent in allowing their children to get harmed, or dangerous people access to dangerous implements that’s already illegal (and doesn’t need to specifically be a gun) She says she supports education…but doesn’t actually support or offer any classes to be taken, and is against safety training courses given by the NRA. And she wants us to admit that guns are used to kill more innocent people than are used in self defense? Well that’s hard, as it isn’t true. There isn’t a concrete Self Defense number, but every study has found the number to be above unless it was the study cooked up by Joan’s organization that made every effort to discount self defense, by not counting woundings, or instances where no shots were fired, and only counting self defense INSIDE the home.

So its all lies, but we can trust her? Also she doesn’t like
“Assault Weapons”
“Sniper Rifles”
“Armor Piercing Bullets”
Private Sales
Sound Suppressors
And thinks FFLs are selling guns to the Mexican Drug lords, and Gangs.

But we can trust her not to ban our guns or infringe on our rights.

I bit Ironic when he calls the pro-gun people and the NRA simple minded, and not interested in engaging in debate when he’s giving the speech in a room filled with Like-minded people, and the video is posted on a youtube channel that doesn’t allow comments or rating of the videos.

Hmmm, People like Helmke don’t like comments on their blog.

Joan allows comments, but she hap-hazardly deletes the vast majority of them, and the ones she publishes, she rarely actually engages or addresses.

“Nonsense” “I don’t agree with your logic” “I don’t understand” “You’re scary” “Nobody thinks that” ect.

But we can trust them not to ban our guns, right?

Sorry, Hon, The Brady Campaign, and the Joyce foundation are gun ban organizations, and are populated by a very small number of people with what can only be likened to religious fanaticism, and are EXCLUSIVELY liars.

You say you don’t want to ban my guns…but you make no effort to prove any such thing.

End of the Florida Shooting

The video posted here has all the talking and the guy setting up for his big “Scene”, as well as his remark about not thinking the School Security guard was unarmed. (I take that last bit as a hand-tip showing that this jerk targeted the board meeting SPECIFICALLY because he thought he’d be the only gun in town.

Well Gunmart found a video of the very end of the shooting.
**WARNING** Actual Footage of a gunfight ahead.

Watched both videos a few times. Seems this guy was pissed the school budget being cut, along with his wife’s job And it appears the cops have recovered some left-wing rants on his facebook. If I wanted to make political hay, I’d blame the class-warfare Democrats for inciting this loon. But as I said before he was just crazy and SOMETHING was going to rile him up. Just happened to be the assholes on that side, not this side.

What can we learn from this?
-Carry your gun! These people had no idea this was going to happen, and a school board meeting is hardly a “Bad Neighborhood” or a “Dark Alley” that the anti-rights jerks seem to think is more than enough for self-defense.
-Gun Free Zones Suck and need to be abolished. It isn’t much of a gun-free-zone if somebody is shooting at you.
-Bad Guys will always get weapons. If they want guns they’ll get guns. If they want to kill, they’ll kill you with whatever they can get their mitts on.
-You cannot depend on the cops to protect you. Those people you see running out in the longer video, they were calling the cops as soon as they were clear of the room. That’s the only reason why the security guard came in. He saw people running out, he came in. Town police only showed up in time to pick up the dead body.
-PRACTICE WITH YOUR CARRY GUN! you can miss at conversational distances if you don’t practice.
-ALWAYS FIGHT BACK. I can’t say these people were very successful in their efforts, and they’re damn lucky to be alive, but they did buy time by keeping the guy talking for the guard to take up position.

Good shooting from the guard, can’t tell where he landed the shot (Real gunshots aren’t like hollywood gunshots) but it appeared to take him down pretty quick for a handgun hit.

I have no doubt this asshole wanted to stack up some bodies before he completed his promise to die. He didn’t complete that goal because a man with a gun saved the lives of everybody in that room.

GUNS SAVE LIVES! CARRY YOUR GUN! END GUN-FREE-ZONES!

“Common Sense”?

A money quote from Brady Campaing Board Member and Joyce foundation worker Joan Peterson

It’s just natural to want to shoot someone when you don’t agree with them or have a beef or you’re drunk and can’t quite think straight. It’s just natural to allow 30,000 victims of gun violence to occur every year in the U.S. We should just accept the natural order of things then.

If only owning a gun was as illegal as shooting somebody because you’re angry or impaired, then we wouldn’t have so many deaths in this country.

I love how the Pro-Ignorance Anti-Freedom people have this weird Schrodinger’s Cat relationship with the law. The law is simultaneously all-powerful and unrepeatable (if we ban private sales and “Assault Weapons” bad people simply won’t be able to get them because its illegal) and worthless (Obviously if people have access to guns they’ll rape and pillage and plunder without reservation, or fear of the law…)

Much like the “Guns in Bars” argument. If the restriction is lifted then people will pile into bars with lawfully carried guns and get illegally intoxicated with little fear of the law….but if the restrictions are upheld, nobody will dare enter a bar or restaurant with a gun lest they be paralyzed with fear about breaking the law.

These are not rational or honest people, and you can’t compromise or rationalize with them because they simply don’t operate on the same mental level as functional people.

We simply must crush them and their bigoted movement, and leave them in the same place in history of other bigots like segregationists, and the temperance movement.

A Little Light Music

To the Panama City School Board Especially the woman with the swinging purse, and Bill Husfelt. Thanks for showing bravery in the face of danger instead of this.

Hope I’m not making too light of your ordeal, I just thought of this song while thinking about Bill Husfelt telling the nut job he was the man responsible for firing his wife and that he should let everybody else go and keep him.

Why I Carry

AztecRed has a longer video of the nut in Panama City Florida.

First up my hat goes off to William V. Husfelt, III who is the guy with the mustache who keeps the nut talking, and attempts to offer himself, and to the other woman (I don’t know her name but she also deserves praise) who attempted to swat the gun out of his hand with her purse. A good idea, but it was unsuccessful. Also given that when he knocked her down he had his gun pointed right at her I suspect the only reason why she wasn’t shot was because he seemed to not want anything to do with women, and ordered all women to leave.

Contrary to reports he was NOT using blanks, and simply missed with every shot fired. Also not only is the Panama City School Board meeting hall a gun free zone AztecRed points out that the nut was a convicted felon and had done 4 years (sentenced to 5) in Prison.

So I commend the board members who acted and kept their wits about them during the incident, in the end if you watch the video it appears that the only reason why all the good guys went home that night was because of a combination of #1. The fact that the nut’s #1 target was himself, #2. He was a terrible shot, and #3. Pure Dumb Luck.

These are all factors that were 100% unknown to the board members, and not something I want to trust my life with.

It was an armed school safety officer who engaged the nut and diffused the situation (The nut did take his own life, but I suspect from the video I can see I suspect the Officer saved innocent lives that day)

Gun-free zones simply leave good and brave people pleading to the barrel of a gun, because prohibited people will ALWAYS find a way to get arms. And of course from the “Gun Death?” files, you’ll see that they don’t NEED a gun to end your life.

The people who propose gun control say their motivation is to reduce “Gun Violence” and “Gun Death” (of course they need to use that bogus method, because many cases overall violent crime and homicide rates GO UP when criminals are protected by restrictions of defensive arms) but how does that gun control look to you?

You have a man prohibited for life from owning or carrying a gun, who was carrying a concealed weapon without a valid Florida permit, into an area where possession of a firearm is illegal. On top of that we have hostage taking, criminal threat with a deadly weapon, and attempted murder of at least two people (tho you could argue more).

If one or more of the board members, or people watching the meeting had a personal firearm might this have ended differently? Maybe not, but this guy pointed a gun at another man’s head and popped off several rounds while the man who already proved himself to be braver than most pleaded for his life with his hands in the surrender position.

This is why I carry, and carry everywhere I legally can. I also want to expand where I can legally carry. The criminals don’t care. Hell in the video the nut remarks that he doesn’t believe the Safety officer has a gun…thankfully he was wrong, tho in many schools the security is unarmed, I suspect the criminal took the gun-free zone status of the school was taken into account.

I carry everywhere because I don’t want to beg for my life while looking in the wild eyes of a maniac.

How would you feel if you were sitting on that board and looking down that muzzle?

Also what would you do if you were in the auditorium and carrying? What if you were carrying but you were one of the people he asked to leave?

I personally can’t comment definitely, it depends on my angle, as I would think twice about engaging him if the board was directly down range of me, tho the room had amphitheater seating so a elevated position might give you the floor as your backstop, also given that this guy obviously jerked the trigger something fierce as his second shot went into the ground at a distance of a few feet, so an elevated position from the shooter isn’t a bad thing.

“Gun Death” 15 Year Old Girl

A Fifteen Year-Old-Girl is dead in Louisiana. I wonder what gun he used?

Man jailed in beating death of LaPlace girl…A man suspected of killing a 15-year-old LaPlace girl has been returned from Mississippi to face a first-degree murder charge…Jones said that Adams sustained fractures to her jaw and skull and bleeding on her brain during an intense struggle early Sunday inside her home.

Classy guy this guy is! Odd how even in a gun friendly state like Louisiana a man simply beats a girl to death. Its almost like the tools are irrelevant, and the violent dangerous people are the real danger…

Corrupt Symbols

Thirdpower bought himself some surplus hats. I mentioned that the Red Star creeps me out in general. I mean more people died under that star than the Nazi Swastika. But we see the Red star all over the place.

The Elite

One of the big things about Authoritarians is they like power because it means they can lord over how other people lead their lives, but they themselves can live life as they please.

Long time Anti-Gun Advocate State Senator R.C. Soles, 74, shot one of two intruders at his home just outside Tabor City , N.C. about 5 p.m. Sunday, the prosecutor for the politician’s home county said….The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun ownership for the general public, didn’t hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger and he was the victim.

This is not a rare affliction we talked about Joan Peterson here. She seem to think “Sniper Rifles” are a problem, but doesn’t have an issue with owning them.

Peterson says supporters of such legislation are often painted as people who hate guns, but she says she’s not anti-gun, anti-hunter, or anti-anyone’s rights. She and her husband own guns and come from a hunting family. They keep the guns locked in a metal safe. Peterson says hunters, gun-owners and police support closing the gun show loophole.

Nice huh? Same bullshit was behind the Joyce Foundation funded and now defunct American Hunters and Shooters. (Wikipedia link posted because they don’t have a website)

Of course there’s Mr. “Gun Flow Himself” Michael Bonomo who while preaching for more draconian gun laws, admits he decided to simply ignore them in his younger years…but doesn’t want to talk about THAT!

Or of course celebrities who work to infringe on our rights, but can comfortably farm out the gun to their bodyguards.

Of course there are all the elected officials who vote and draft laws to infringe on the right to keep and bear arms, but they keep their secret service, or state police security details.

The rules simply don’t apply to them, and you’re being rude and evil for questioning them.

Of course they also don’t like questions, but they seem to not be too concerned with our privacy by publishing our names or digging through your facebook page and slandering you Or just the simple 4th Amendment violations.

If standards are nice, then double standards are TWICE as nice! 😉
