Go read the rest of the article, its quite good. I just liked that initial quote, as it describes my transition from Anti-Gun to pro-gun very well. I’m not a dishonest person, so as soon as I started collecting facts to support my arguments AGAINST gun ownership, I was forced to switch sides.
As far as I’m concerned, people who are anti-gun are either ignorant, sinister, or mentally ill. There is no other explanation I can see.
It’s interesting how many stories I have heard of people who initially supported many different liberal, progressive, and/or democratic ideals who changed their mind as soon as they started collecting facts.
Well, I would simply state that most liberal or “Progressive” ideas fly directly in the face of logic or reason, so if you honor either of those concepts you can’t support them if you know what you’re talking about.
Dad says I’m mentally ill and I’m not at all for gun control 🙂
He thinks If I stuck to coin and pocket watch collecting and laid off the motor vehicles and firearms I’d have a lot more money and space. But he also chipped in on my secondary MAS 1949-56, so I can have a non-museum piece to shoot, for my birthday last week because he wants to shoot one too and the three digit one with the sealed kit is just too pretty to exercise on the range but I found dies…therefore I’m not right in the head, but safe to play with others, even with firearms 🙂
But who needs money and space????
What people NEED is cars and Bren Guns!
And a Mle 1915 chambered in .30-06???
Sorta been thinking it’d be nice to have one but they are sort thin on the ground.
