Wow, my buddy Spike sent me this story.
You may not know the name Pauley Perrette right away, but if you watch CBS primetime, you know her face. She’s the attractive, spunky actress who plays Abby Scuito on “NCIS,” starring Mark Harmon.
Abby is known for her high level of intelligence and playful energy, but in real life, the actress who plays her has been going through hell.
The reason is her ex-husband, 41-year-old Canadian Francis “Coyote” Shivers, a sometime musician and part-time club disc jockey who Perrette claims has been harassing her for the last two-and-a-half years, after almost four years of marriage.
Shivers — who according to court documents has many aliases, including Paul Edwards and Frank Keber — didn’t start his reign of terror with Perrette. His second-most recent ex-wife, Bebe Buell, who lives in Maine, has been inundated with a mountain of false police reports, invented complaints and restraining orders for years — all of which came after she told Shivers to leave and try to find work in Los Angeles in 1998.
“Instead, he found Pauley,” Buell says. “His next meal ticket.”
According to both women, Shivers stalked them and inflicted upon each of them endless mental distress. They each claim he terrorized them sexually during their respective relationships. When they compared notes, Buell and Perrette found that their situations, in fact, were eerily the same.
WOW! (BTW on a personal note, I had a High School buddy who always joked that Liv Tyler was his “Girlfriend” in Daycare back, as they both lived in my part of Maine)
Sadly stalkers happen, and besides the misery they inflict, there is always the treat of violence from such anti-social and irrational behavior. My advice is always the same: Get a Gun, Get a Carry Permit, Get a Restraining order! That’s also the order of importance of all three things, tho sometimes the paperwork can allow you to pursue several at the same time. Tho in Massachusetts you can get a restraining order quite quickly, and you need to get your permit BEFORE you can get your first gun if you don’t already have one.
While useful, a restraining order is just a piece of paper, and really the only use they serve is telling the subject of the order that you unequivocally mean business, and in the event that you need to use force to defend yourself there is a paper trail of the history between you and your stalker for the courts to see.
Getting a gun is the most important as if things get violent you will need to end the situation as quickly as possible and live to tell the tale. The carry permit is important because stalkers don’t just stalk at home, they follow you to work, they follow you on errands and social calls. You need to be armed ALL THE TIME, from going to work, to taking out your trash or picking up your paper in the morning, because there always could be a violent ambush.
“He uses Family Court as his arena to harass women,” Perrette alleges. “There’s no link between Family Court and Criminal Court. So he can commit perjury. He can put illegally gotten e-mails and false declarations into the court record. There’s no penalty for it.”
In 1999, once he was established in California, Shivers got a restraining order against Buell, even though she was 3,000 miles away and hadn’t seen him in a year.
Buell opted not to fight it, since she wasn’t going west, and eventually it expired. But she says her total costs in battling Shivers’ legal haranguing have now spiraled into the high five figures.
This is EVIL! BTW what’s not stated here is that for the duration of the protection order Ms. Buell was a prohibited person, and it would be a FEDERAL Felony for her to posses a firearm. That’s a serious charge, and further the devious party KNOWS his target will be unarmed.

Sadly, this happens every day, but it is usually women who are doing the filing for DV restraining orders at the behest of their attorneys. They do this to gain leverage against the male in divorce proceedings, or sometimes to just get revenge for being scorned. Sadly, it is usually the first person who gets to the courthouse that wins.
These women are aided and assisted by sympathetic police and judges.

Yeah happened to George Zimmerman. Media is attempting to spin it as him having a “History of Violence”, but again, no charges, no evidence, no need.
I had a family member who had the exact same thing happen to. With him, he had built a home before they were married, so her name wasn’t on the deed, but she wanted the house.
Restraining order filed, he had to get a crappy apartment. He did get the house back after the divorce, but that was much later.
From what I understand, Coyote should not have brought a restraining order against Buell. But, Perrette convinced him to. No excuse, but it should be noted that perjury is a crime and Perette repeatedly perjured herself. She might have been told by her attorney, Ronald Litz, that she can get away with it but there is a higher god than money and power and she will suffer accordingly. She is above the law, currently. Her ability to have a connected Hollywood Lawyer and the services of the corrupted Threat Management Unit has allowed her to control the courts. Cancer sufferer and aspiring celebrity, Tig Notaro, has also benefited from this vicious type of fraud. A prosecutor, Martin Boags, who willfully and knowingly prosecutes cases on behalf of disturbed celebrities has also been stricken by Karma. His mother, sister, and wife all died untimely deaths following his unprosecuted crimes. There is always Karma, I guess. When facing such moneyed and ruthless forces, one has to rely on something bigger.
