Gotta love the Antis beat in their own game:
A group of armed Open Carry activists descended upon a group of protesters against gun violence in Akron, Ohio on Sunday in a misguided attempt to “educate” them.
The blog Liberaland.com compiled a timeline of social media updates and marchers themselves tweeted and took photos as the men carrying assault rifles and handguns approached them and began to berate and harass the people attending the protest, which was organized by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
…This is not the first time that armed men have counter-protested at Moms Demand Action events. In November of 2013, a group of Open Carry activists harassed and intimidated members at a Moms Demand Action planning meeting at a restaurant called the Blue Mesa Grill in Arlington, Virginia.
MDA issued a statement after the event that said, in part, “Gun advocates held an armed protest in the parking lot, and our mom members and restaurant customers were terrified by what appeared to be an armed ambush. Sadly, these bullies feel they must use guns to intimidate moms and children and try to inhibit our constitutional right to free speech. But Moms Demand Action will not be deterred.”
Now first up the Moms weren’t “terrified”, they were upset their thunder had been stolen by people showing what little there is to fear about guns. And of course the behavior of the counter-protest is nothing new to the antis. Have a look at this blast from the past witnessed by me in 2012:
Yep “Protest Easy Guns” staging a lack-luster counter-protest at the NRA Annual Meeting in North Carolina. Every year I’ve been to the NRAAM there has been some sort of Joyce/Bloomberg protest.
Given that the antis have so few members, and even worse central leadership, they need to hijack pro-gun meetings. And that’s their right, but the same it’s our right to do the same.
But BOY do they hate it when WE do it!

Over the top rhetoric. On the anti-gunners 15 yards. NRA has the ball. 1st down.
Unless the NRA has become a branch of government, their 1st amendment rights were unaffected by the counter protest.
An individual’s 1st amendment rights do not preclude other people’s 1st amendment rights. Unless the goverment is using the force of law to tell you to shut up, your first amendment rights are intact.
The lie is all they have. MDA will not allow dissenting comments.
If the MDA and other gungrabbers want to have a public protest…LET THEM!!
What WE need to do is set up a counter demo across/or down the street from them. There will always be more of us then them. Ergo: we just IGNORE them,we DONT go across the street and (try) to hold a conversation with them. That gives them the power….
Let them come across the street to US,let them get mad and/or cuss at us.
If they wave to us, fine wave back. If they come across the street to complain,harass us, IGNORE THEM! ?..If they get physical (which I doubt,some of us are carrying) LET THEM, but DO call the police. If they come across and start asking questions,GREAT treat them like YOU want to be treated.
No sense getting hot under the collar which they might try to use to THIER advantage.
