Play Me Out: VG

No idea what the freaky-deaky Beat-Game is, but the remix of Simon’s Quest “Bloody Tears” is AWESOME!

I gotta say I love taking oldschool video game soundtracks and remixing them with modern sound, and I’m a little saddened that those days are over, given that the latest Mario game soundtrack is performed beautifully by the Tokyo Symphony.

So what’s your favorite Video Game Music/Remixes?

Probably my favorite “older-school” video game music is Mario 64. The stuff that I hum to myself most often is probably from star fox, though.

If you’re talking PC games, though, definitely Homeworld, as I got the game of the year version that came with the soundtrack–probably listened to that CD a million times.

I am also partial to the music that takes real sounds and puts it into 8-bit sounds. Always groovy.

If you really like remixes check out http://www.OCremix.org lots and lots of remixes from a great many games.

These two are probably my favorites though I enjoy many more.
