So many of you might remember my breakfast of a hamburger with an Egg and a side of chips and pomegranate. I do have more traditional breakfasts as well. Of course there’s cereal which is hardly blog-worthy. This I thought came out quite nicely.

That’s a onion, mushroom and pepperjack omlette with a side of toast and bacon. As we say in Maine “That’ll make a turd” 😉

Oh and by “Blog Powered By” I must apologize for the light posting this week. Work is totally crazy so I haven’t really had the time to put in reading news and penning posts. Things will return to normal soon enough. Thank you for your patronage!

Looks great. Down here in TX, I would have an omelet with the Jalapeno bacon, crumbled, with onion, mushroom, pepperjack cheese, and a large dollop of sour cream. Then covered with a couple of spoons full of salsa. Some Jalapeno sausage on the side, with a biscuit and gravy.

I have lived all over the US, and I find the difference in the foods and preparation of foods between different locales to be fascinating. I tend to love all the food, everywhere, except for some of the Left coast roots and shoots food.

I have a great recipe for Jambalaya, which can be made in about 30 to 45 minutes. If you are interested, I can put it here, or send an e-mail if you would like to try it and keep it to yourself, until you approve.

What kind of jam do the Weerds favor?

    “That’ll make a turd”

Dude, I’ve been using this line for years and you’re the only other person I’ve ever seen reference it. And I’m in Oregon!

How about this retort to someone who says to you…

    “Dude, you’re shitting me.”

Response…”I would never shit you, you’re my favorite turd.”

You’re just on the wrong side of country! Fishermen all over New England use that all the time, either in a serious tone implying the food was nourishing and little else, or in a comical tone meaning the food was spectacular but implying it was lame meal.

I’ll have to add that “Favorite turd” line to my tool box!
