Bad Justice: Pedophile

This is a sick story, and just shows how much is wrong with the legal system here.

Former Christ the King men’s basketball coach Bob Oliva finally admitted to accusations of molesting his players, pleading guilty Monday in a Boston courtroom.

Oliva will receive five years of probation after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a then fourteen-year-old player, James Carlino, in Boston during the summer of 1976.

Carlino, now 49 years old, claims he was molested by Oliva on that trip to watch the Yankees play the Red Sox, and at least 100 other times after that….Doolin told PIX 11, “These allegations are from 35 years ago, no criminal record, 5 years probation is a reasonable result.

No 5 years probation is NOT reasonable for a guilty verdict for raping a child. Yes I understand that allowing time to pass does make a case weaker, but we’re not talking about a not-guilty verdict here. We’re talking about a man who is now a convicted pedophile, and a registered sex offender never seeing the inside of a prison cell.

We don’t need gun laws, we need justice!

  1. Good thing Bob Oliva didn’t have a gun. Someone could have gotten hurt.

Indeed, this boy was raped over 100 times by his account and Oliva’s admission.

But getting shot once would be so much worse…especially when you look at the survival rate of handgun wounds…

And what are the chances this was his only victim? Probation is ludicrous.

    • Weerd Beard says:

Yeah I’d say slim-to-none. Obviously this jerk did enough manipulating of this poor kid to allow him to rape him on many many occasions, and to keep his mouth shut until decades later.

I’d say chances are very good of there being others who are still silent.
