“Gun Death” Social Network

Who’s to blame?

Her story is about teenage love. But the relationship was played out in text messages and social media web sites. A war of words that ended with a deadly street-side show down.

One night in April 2009, a year of internet battle ended in 5 seconds when Wade, 19 years old at the time, stabbed and killed her romantic rival, 18-year-old Sarah Ludemann.

So what’s to blame? Cellphones? Text Messages? Social Media? Knives? Or Violent Teens who probably showed every warning sign to uninterested parents?

If you’re sane the answer is obvious.

Obviously it’s the knives. That’s why Bloomberg and Cyrus Vance Jr have re-branded all knives “gravity” knives and made them illegal. However, if you are Home Depot, or Eastern Mountain Sports you can buy a million dollar “deferred prosecution agreement”. And, ONCE AGAIN, they want the rest of the country too. I know it’s an old story, but WTF, NYC IS NOT THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE!

Well I suspect the old-style folders that take two hands and patience to open are still OK, but that’s like me pointing out you can buy a percussion rifle in Massachusetts without a permit.

We had a similar event here in Massachusetts when our Bass Pro Shop opened.

Short story, Bass pro opened up in Mass, and likely did their research with a corporate attorney, rather than a Massachusetts one. They looked at our approved handgun roster and saw all glocks are compliant with our safety regs and stocked and sold them. The problem was the safety tests approved them, but our AG refused to sign off on them, so under current regulations they are illegal to sell here.

A small shop saw what was going on, and rather than talk to Bass Pro, he dropped a dime to the AG. Then to make matters worse, Bass Pro simply went along with the draconian laws.

Ideally somebody like Bass Pro has deep enugh pockets to sue the state and repeal the law making life easier for all of us. Instead they issued a recall of all Glocks sold, and paid the fines for all guns not returned (the roster only affects FFLs, so anybody with a post-ban Glock bought though an FFL, or state private sale is OK.

There is nothing underhanded about any of this, but it IS selfish and short-sighted.

I am shocked you missed the obvious cause of all this — Al “Call me when you need Snow” Gore.

    The MAN INVENTED THE INTERNET!!!

Obviously, if there was no internet then there would be no social media bullying and social media violence.

Obviously the laws were written at a time when there was no text capability or instant messenger capability; therefore they aren’t protected. If everyone was only allowed to send voice messages (Watson, Come here. I need you) as it was intended, then we would have less social media violence.

Since Al Gore invented the internet and all developments are related to it — he is to blame. Shared Responsibility and all that
