Update on this story found here:
Law enforcement officials were investigating how a stun gun that resembled a cell phone wound up aboard a JetBlue Airways plane at Newark airport.
That’s probably how it got through security, the functional illiterates in the TSA don’t have the faculties to determine a fake cellphone from a real one…they can only tell if its a cell they want to steal or not.
I still wonder why a person willing to risk serious punishment for carrying a device illegal in both in Massachusetts AND New Jersey, as well as prohibited inside the TSA secure area nation-wide.
We are trading our rights for NOTHING, and we’re paying millions of dollars for it.
COME ON PEOPLE! WAKE UP!
Sounds like someone may be testing our security to see how bad it really is. . .
That’s like testing a corpse for a pulse….
Sounds hinky to me.
Why would someone go through the trouble and potential criminal charges to smuggle said stun gun onto a plane, then after the risky part is over leave the item on the plane?
Perhaps they placed it in the pouch for plausible deniability if it is found, and forget to retrieve it?
And thanks Weerd, I never knew there was such a unit out there – and in a bunch of styles and models!
They had a booth of that crap at the NRA Con. It was hands down the most obnoxious booth there. The staff were like carny barkers, and the products were total junk. Every time I walked by I heard them give dangerous and/or false information.
At least the hi-point reps were honest about the quality of their guns, and the Carnies at Cold Steel were selling quality knives.
