Now where this would be REALLY awesome is in states where open carry is legal and gaining acceptance. Its a nice way to show your appreciation of your fellow carriers. See a guy open carrying, shake their hand and hand them the coin.
Its a bit harder here, tho last night I could have used one. I was eating at a restaurant when I saw a dude in a military jacket with an OD Green Flag patch on one shoulder and a Gadsden Flag on the other. He had some sort of Gadsden Logo on his hat as well. Let’s just say nobody else noticed him, but he was practically SCREAMING “Good Guy” to me. So while the wife and I ate I watched his 4:00, and finally did see what was likely the butt print off a pistol. I could have been wrong, as he was concealing well, but we all know EVERYTHING prints, you just need to look for it.
He earned a challenge coin. Too bad I didn’t have one.
I’ll bet we could come up with one for MA. Maybe a 1911-drawn-in-the-dirt, ala the Xtian fish in Rome?

I like the idea, but I agree the coins they designed are not ones I would hand out.
I was planning on messing around with some aluminum casting, so I might have to try to make some better designs.
