“Gun Death” TV Safety

Hopefully, soon this kind of death will be a thing of a past.

Investigators say the little Jesus was playing on Tuesday night in a bedroom. His 13-year-old brother was with him, their grandmother in another room and their parents at work. Somehow as he was opening and closing drawers, the large TV on top toppled over.

The five-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital.

This can only be a CRT TV, which are rapidly becoming a thing of the past. That being said there is also a line in the article that leaves the impression the dresser also fell which can be just as deadly.

My nephew ended up flipping a dresser when he turned the drawers into an improvised ladder in effort to get a toy that was just out of reach. Thankfully it didn’t land on him.

We must have common-sense furniture control, its for the CHILDREN!

I jest, it wasn’t a “Gun Death” so this little boy doesn’t count in the eyes of the anti-freedom activists!

For the sake of the children, we must boycott Sylvania and IKEA immediately. (as always, defecating on police cars is optional)

  2. A little girl I knew who was my oldest daughter’s age did what your nephew did, but wasn’t as lucky. She was three and she died. Such a tragedy!

Actually, I seem to remember reading somewhere about some politician who was trying to get a law passed that TV’s would have to be fastened down to avoid such accidents.
