More Teacher’s Unions Showing Their Stripes

Teacher’s Unions have little interest for the welfare of children, or the quality of education:

Here’s what Wisconsin’s legal system and its teachers unions have just taught the nation: If you’re a teacher and you get fired for looking at porn at work, you’ll get your job back….The district’s school board Monday voted in a special closed session to comply with an arbitrator’s 60-page order that demands Harris be reinstated. He was fired in 2010 after receiving and viewing multiple pornographic and sexually inappropriate images and videos, according to a complaint.

To add insult to the district’s injury, taxpayers will have to pay Harris nearly $200,000 in back pay. In total the district will spend nearly $1 million on the case, the brunt of which went to legally defending its position that the firing was fair.

Look, I’m not going to make accusations that porn viewing is bad. It isn’t. Still I never can comprehend people who consume it while on the job. There is appropriate behavior and inappropriate behavior. Further there are tales of teachers being fired because it was discovered that they acted in porn in their youth, or worked as a nude dancer. Those cases are horrible, as it was done BEFORE they started teaching, and the activities were 100% legal.

In this case it was AT the school, and while he was working. I don’t know any further details, but the majority of people in middle schools are minors and allowing them to see pornographic images is a crime. Watching porn while in a middle school is just horrible judgement, and shows little self control…and now that is rewarded. He got an extended vacation with pay and now…

On Tuesday afternoon, the district announced it has has offered Harris a position teaching the same subject and grade at Kromrey Middle School.

Horrible!

“Gun Death” Brutal Murder

This is a really bad one!

A beloved priest who was killed in the Northern California city of Eureka was beaten to death with a wooden stake and a metal gutter pipe, his autopsy shows….But at his arraignment, **REDACTED**, 44, of Humboldt County, was charged with murder with a special allegation of torture. He is also charged with burglary, arson and auto theft.

**REDACTED** pleaded not guilty and bail was set at $1.2 million, according to court records.

Horrible, and disrespectful and crossing so many social boundaries. But those that preach “Gun Death” see no reason to be concerned about this horrible attack.

Do you agree with that?

Gun Porn: Vz 61 Full Auto

Gotta say, those Czechs are NOT afraid to toss their brass! Every CZ gun I’ve ever shot, from my CZ-82, to the CZ-75, to the CZ-52 all toss brass further than any other hand gun.

The CZ-75 the brass gets thrown with such force I always make sure nobody is standing to my right when I’m shooting for fear of personal injury on the firing line.

Good LORD I want one of these.

Security Theater

Remember that shooting at LAX? Where were the armed guards?

Minutes before a gunman opened fire in a Los Angeles International Airport terminal last fall, killing a security screener and wounding three other people, the two armed officers assigned to the area left for breaks without informing a dispatcher as required…

When the shooting started, the two officials say one of the armed officers assigned to the terminal was at or just outside an adjacent terminal. One of the officials said the officer was on a bathroom break and the other foot-beat officer was in a vehicle on the tarmac outside Terminal 3, headed for a meal break…

Departmental procedures require that officers notify a dispatcher before going on break and leaving their patrol area in order to ensure supervisors are aware of their absence and, if necessary, a relief unit can be brought in to cover their area.

Airport security is such a Joke that even the REAL cops don’t take it seriously.

It’s Good to Be the King

For most of us, if you want a unique gun for your wants and needs, you’ll need to hire a gunsmith or a fabricator to build you a one-off unique gun.

.

If your name is Jerry Miculek, S&W will build that gun for you and put it into full production!

Images of the Antis: Anti-Freedom

So I found this image on Joan Peterson’s Pinterest page:

The antis say they aren’t coming for our guns, but they idealize mass confiscation and destruction of private arms.

And Australia? I don’t know about Mass Shootings, but it is NOT a safer place overall.

And what did Australian antis do once they had reduced gun ownership to a shred of what it once was? This:

Those are PLASTIC knives…you know the ones that we give to PRISONERS! Yet the Aussies have to show ID, and I assume a kid with one of these in his lunch bag will get in trouble if he wants to cut his meat.

They ARE coming for our guns, and you are a FOOL if you think it will stop there!

**UPDATE** From Miguel we have this link:

You can be searched for knives in a public place anywhere, anytime, with and without notice.

If you are 16 and over and get caught carrying a controlled weapon such as a knife, you face an on the spot fine of $1,000, or you may have to go to court and face a fine of over $14,000 or one year imprisonment.

This penalty is doubled if you are inside or within 20 metres of a pub, club or bar….If you are under 18 you will no longer able to buy any type of knife, including kitchen knives or knives for school or work. To do so is against the law and you will face a $239 on the spot fine, or you could face court and a fine of over $1,400.

Anyone who knowingly sells a knife or other controlled weapon to a minor faces a fine of over $2,300.

The following links provide specific information for parents, retailers, teachers and young people.

Yep so having a plastic knife in your lunch bag is a CRIME! Also note no 4th Amendment rights either!

Spirit of the Law

Hopefully the courts will go the right way on this one!

The Supreme Court took up a new gun rights case on Wednesday, weighing whether it should be a crime for someone to buy a gun for somebody else, if both people are legally allowed to own one.

Justices on Wednesday heard from Bruce James Abramski, Jr., a former police officer who got in trouble with the law after he bought a Glock 19 handgun in Virginia — and transferred it to his uncle in Pennsylvania.

Abramski bought the gun because he could get a discount, and checked a box on the relevant form saying the gun was for him. But he sold it to his uncle.

Abramski was later indicted under federal law for making a false statement material to the lawfulness of a firearm sale — and for making a false statement with respect to information required to be kept in the records of a license firearm dealer.

But Abramski’s lawyers told the high court that since both he and his uncle were legally allowed to own guns, the law shouldn’t have applied to him.

The Straw-Buyer law needs clarification. Its legal to buy a gun, and later sell it. I had my WASR-10 for only about 6 months before I realized it wasn’t the gun for me, so I sold it. The new owner was also a lawful gun owner, so I don’t see any issues on the paperwork.

In this case, did he technically lie? He did take possession of the gun, only to transfer it at a later date. How small a time is too small?

Further this law ONLY exists to make sure people aren’t buying guns for people who can’t have them. In this case both owners are legal, so where’s the harm?

I’d say the spirit of the law was NOT broken. Let’s hope the courts say that too!

Petty New York Politics

Man, even the “Progressives” in NYC are probably missing “Conservative” Mike Bloomberg!

Mayor de Blasio bungled the second winter storm of his administration when the snow hit a few hours earlier than expected Tuesday — causing a rash of car crashes and snarling traffic across the city.

Some are saying some of this was intentional!

Residents called it a revenge-inspired reversal of de Blasio’s oft-repeated “Tale of Two Cities” slam against then-Mayor Mike Bloomberg, who owns a town house on East 79th Street.

“The Upper East Side did not vote for [de Blasio],” said lifelong resident Molly Jong Fast, daughter of famed novelist Erica Jong.

Man, so even “Progressives” who happen to not be of the rent-control hand-to-mouth types might want to take Governor Cuomo’s invitation:

You’re seeing that play out in New York. … The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE Act — it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.

If they’re moderate Republicans like in the Senate right now, who control the Senate — moderate Republicans have a place in their state. George Pataki was governor of this state as a moderate Republican; but not what you’re hearing from them on the far right.”

Now that’s a direct and accurate quote, I’ve heard the audio. Cuomo is saying he was “distorted” by the Post.

The New York Post distorted Governor Cuomo’s words yesterday, saying that the Governor said “conservatives should leave New York.” The Governor did not say that, nor does he believe that.

So what did he mean then? Yeah…

So here’s how I see it. If you’re a Conservative in New York, leave to a Red state, there are lots of them, and you’ll find that even with a substantial pay cut your cost of living quality of life, and real estate will make up for the difference.

If you are a “Progressive” in New York, but you actually have EVIL MONEY in the bank, there are lots of blue states you can move to. You can help offset the welfare state in Massachusetts!

Just get out, they don’t want you!

“Gun Death” WWII Ordience

I’ve heard of similar stories of Fishing Boats towing up old bombs:

A World War Two-era bomb exploded in the German town of Euskirchen near Bonn on Friday, killing a construction worker after his mechanical digger dislodged it and injuring eight other workers.

You can’t really make any regulation jokes as there is simply NO way to prevent this. All I can note is that this is NOT a “Gun Death”.
