I actually went to high school with a girl who did something very similar:
Louisville, Kentucky, police say a woman gave birth in the bathroom of the Kohl’s clothing store where she worked, then left the newborn girl in a trash can where another worker later found the child dead.
Thankfully with my former classmate’s baby was discovered before any lasting harm was done, but a young baby in a cold toilet filled with water doesn’t stand long for this world. The court actually charged her with assault with a dangerous weapon, where the weapon was the toilet and toilet paper used to conceal him.
Thankfully that baby was not only saved, but put into foster care rather than being returned to ANY of his immediate family. I am so sad for this baby, there are so many who would LOVE an unwanted baby no matter what the circumstances.
But why am I upset? This isn’t a “Gun Death”! Only “Gun Death” counts, right?

I appears that for all of his fighting of the death penalty, Ariel Castro was fine doing it on his own:
The Cleveland man who kidnapped three women and sexually assaulted them for decades in his basement was found dead in his jail cell Tuesday night after an apparent suicide.
A statement from the Ohio Department of Corrections said Ariel Castro, 53, was found hanging in his cell at the Correctional Reception Center in the town of Orient at 9:20 p.m. local time. After prison medical staff attempted to perform life-saving measures, Castro was transferred to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, where he was pronounced dead at 10:52 p.m.
This was both more humane than keeping him alive in a cage until he expired on his own, and of course beats of the cost of feeding and watering him for decades.
Good job guy! You will be remembered for evil, but your last deed was a good one!
Open carry protest gets the “Because I said So” treatment.
Now say what you will about this style of protest. These guys are there to be noticed, and to raise some pulses, as well as show that they’re at Starbucks to support the 2nd Amendment. Obviously the Chief and his police are anti-gun so they simply point out that somebody doesn’t like the exercising of their rights, so they are cited.
No weapons charges, the police certainly don’t seem to be too concerned about this, and they certainly don’t feel the need to physically detain these men. Note the last statement by the chief, that essentially says he’s going to de-facto ban open carry because he doesn’t like it. Legal or not!
Maybe the officer is willing to say he doesn’t feel comfortable around people exercising their rights and he’d feel more comfortable with them in the back of his cruiser.
Hey how about crap like this?
Do you feel concerned that those officers are carrying LOADED guns OPENLY with NO SAFETIES! Hell I’m concerned they may just start shooting somebody when they get all butthurt that somebody they’re illegally detaining wants to hear probable cause! Or worried that they may shoot at a criminal and hit innocent people!
Hey, but cops rights are different BECAUSE they’re cops!
A 9-year-old southern Utah girl is dead after a strong wind gust picked up the backyard trampoline she was sitting on and sent it flying more than 150 feet.
Wow, super sad. I know a ton of people who have injured themselves in various ways on trampolines. As a guy who owns guns, just like a backyard pool, a trampoline is something that is simply not worth the risk.
This is new about wind throwing the trampoline.
Things are just dangerous.

A New York City federal jury has rejected the argument that use of the N-word among blacks can be a culturally acceptable term of love and endearment, deciding its use in the workplace is hostile and discriminatory.
Jurors last week awarded $250,000 in compensatory damages to a black employment agency worker who was the target of an N-word-laced rant by her black boss. They return Tuesday to decide on punitive damages.
How racist this nation has become that a boss could call their employer a N*gger, then when the employee complains he retorts “Hey, but I’m BLACK!”. AND HE TAKES IT TO THE COURTS!!!
Seriously. What isn’t mentioned here, but if an employer calls Lilly-white Blue-Eyed ME a N*gger, I’M complaining, and it is JUST as offensive.
Maybe Someday Dr. King’s dream will be had, but I don’t think in my lifetime.
The rain that added to the sense of doom here late Monday night was gone and so were the curious onlookers. The concourse at Section 413 of Turner Field where Ronald Homer fell 65 feet to his death was nearly deserted except for a few scattered fans walking to the concession stand or bathrooms.
And why was he up there?
“He went up there to smoke a cigarette,” said his father, Ronald Homer, Sr.
Its not a dome, the stadium is outside, yet he needed to go up to an unsafe area to smoke. IF IT SAVES JUST ONE LIFE!!111!
“He was 6-foot-6, 6-foot-7, and those railings where he was are not tall enough; they are not tall enough for being that high up and that dangerous.
“This is not going to be the end of this. They need to fix that. That’s a flaw in engineering. No one should go through what his mother and I are going through right now.”
The railings are 42 inches high and they meet the code of the National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code Standard 101, which is a commonly used set of strategies to protect people.
I won’t comment on what he was doing, but I find it unbelievable that railings anything UNDER 8 feet will protect EVERYBODY from such a fall if they act properly around them.
Still not a “Gun Death” so nothing to see here.

Being a .45 Guy and with an itch to scratch for a pocketable carry gun in that caliber, I first heard of the Semmerling LM4, it was made first in the 1980s and had limited production up until sometime around the 21st century. Still the gun LOOKS like a semi-auto, but is a manual-operated gun. I’d read a TON of descriptions on HOW the gun works, but never SEEN how it works. Until JUST now. Thought I’d share:
Pretty cool, but also crazy awkward if you ask me. The gun is a hair smaller, with one round less in standard capacity as my PM45 Eleanor, and about the same weight as its all steel. Further while the PM45 shoots like a pistol twice its size, this thing shoots like a crazy rube-Goldberg machine, and that Slide-lock/Safety seen in Video 2 seems overly complicated and unsafe, given that you need to depress the trigger with a live round in the chamber to engage it.
Still this thing was invented 20 years before the PM45 and all its perfection. Of course a gun of this size and weight, even in the 1980s I think I’d make better use of the many all-steel .380s, or of course the omni-present S&W J-Frame revolver which will fire the same number of .38 Special rounds at a much faster rate.
So I thought I’d share.
One-Year-Old Shot in Brooklyn:
A 1-year-old boy has died after he was shot in the head Sunday evening in Brooklyn.
And again another “Inconvenient truth” for the anti-gun people:
A witness told the New York Post that “three to four shots” were fired. The paper reported that police were looking into the possibility that the boy’s father, Anthony Hennis, was the intended target of the gunfire. A police source told the Post that the elder Hennis had a record of more than 20 arrests in New York and Pennsylvania, for offenses including narcotics, weapons possession, assault, and car theft and driving violations.
According to that BS Branas Study if the Dad had been killed he’d be another “Gun Owner” who was likely to be killed by “gun violence”, of course nothing about the fact that he was obviously a career criminal who has enemies who are other career criminals. Likely he knew the identities of his baby’s killer, per the Kellermann Study.
Oh but its the “Iron Pipeline” that’s keeping New York’s stupid-strict gun laws from working…oh…
