Sorry for the light posting, there’s still some waves in the water but I’m getting back to normal here.
Also if we remember when we talked about this before some of his charges were exercising his 5th Amendment right by not talking to the cop when he was called.
A Gaithersburg man has been arrested and accused of killing another man with a hatchet.
At about 12:09 a.m. today, Montgomery County police responded to a reported burglary at a home in the 7217 Cliff Pine Drive in Gaithersburg. The caller, a man, reported that someone had tried to break into the home and that he had killed him….There never was a burglary at the home and the caller and the deceased knew each other, said police spokeswoman Angela Cruz.
My only complaint with this story is that it didn’t happen in a state with a castle doctrine. Why? Well because the results would be the same…only it would further deflate the anti-rights talking point on “License to murder”.
Police said a disagrement over gas money led to a the death of a young woman in Northwest Dallas early Sunday morning….Witnesses said Martinez then allegedly backed up rapidly, running over Aguilar; she then drove forward, running over the victim a second time.
Aguilar was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where she died.
Martinez fled the scene, but was apprehended a short time later and charged with murder.
Running over somebody CAN be an accident…changing gears and going BACK over them your intention is pretty obvious.
A woman playing video games inside a Fort Worth convenience store early Monday morning was set on fire by another woman, who then fled in a vehicle.
The victim, who’s name has not been released, was flown by CareFlite helicopter to Parkland Hospital in Dallas with life threatening burns, according to a Fort Worth Fire Department press release.
A second woman received minor burns and was taken to a local hospital. A employee at the store also received minor burns as he helped the women.
Crazy! No motive given, and no follow-up stories that I can find in the news. Do we really want to say that only “Gun Death” counts?
Unlike guns dogs have free will and do “Just go off”.
An 80-year-old South Carolina double-amputee has died from his injuries after he was dragged from his wheelchair and attacked by four dogs, authorities said Tuesday.
Carlton Freeman of Harleyville was driving his motorized wheelchair on May 8 when he was attacked, said Maj. John Garrison, a spokesman for the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Department.
An incident report said Freeman told authorities that he was pulled from his wheelchair during the attack in the community about 50 miles northwest of Charleston. He said dogs were biting him and pulling on his clothes.
Coroner Chris Nesbit said Tuesday that Freeman, who had both legs amputated at the knee from an injury years ago, died Sunday of the injuries in the dog attack….A police report said three of the dogs belonged to a woman in the neighborhood and there were traces of blood found on them. Authorities have not made any arrests.
Brutal, and another reason to carry a gun. Your gun isn’t just for two-legged predators, four legged ones can be just as deadly.
A Grand Prairie man was fatally injured late Saturday when he jumped from a moving vehicle just south of Six Flags Over Texas, police reported Monday….According to police reports, Flores got into an argument with his brother, who was driving. Flores jumped out of the vehicle and landed on his head, police said.
You see, cars weren’t DESIGNED to have people jump head-long out of them…so “Car Deaths” don’t count.
To be fair, guns aren’t designed to be used by drug dealers, or corrupt warlords either….
I don’t see why we ask serious questions at beauty pageants. I’ve worked with some knockout beautiful scientists, and there are no shortages of ways a woman can show off her brain. And contrary to popular belief, the world sure does take smart AND beautiful women seriously. Tho, to be fair there are so many of these women who have let their brains atrophy while riding their looks that there needs to be an initial winning of trust.
Then again I’ve never exactly seen a butt-ugly dude and IMMEDIATELY assumed he was a genius, so the rules apply to all.
Still Reason hit it out of the PARK with this one.
The bottom line is we can’t compare women and men on even fields because men and women are different. There are still fields of work dominated by women, and fields almost completely men. Also a HUGE factor is stay-at-home Dads are still a rarity.
Once we see a lot more female software engineers, and a lot more stay-at-home Dads we’ll be seeing that gap disappear, because it was NEVER there in the first place.
A Republican senator renewed his criticism of a government-backed program that hands out cell phones after an undercover video showed vendors helping people obtain the phones even after saying they wanted to sell them for drugs and other items.
The video was released by conservative activist James O’Keefe and his group Project Veritas. It claimed to show undercover investigators visiting Philadelphia locations for phone vendor Stand Up Wireless and locations for one other company.
The video is here:
These social programs are nothing but vote-buying bribery. Bribery in itself is pretty bad…it really goes over the edge when its OUR MONEY!
Crime in an Oregon county has reportedly gotten so bad that residents are vowing to protect themselves on so-called “Glock blocks” instead of awaiting authorities to respond.
KOIN.com reports that Coy Tolonen, who lives in unincorporated Clackamas County, and a group of Jennings Lodge residents are responding to escalating crime in their neighborhood by posting fliers that read: “This is a Glock block. We don’t call 911.”
“We’re starting a new group,” Tolonen said. “We don’t feel neighborhood watch is sufficient, and we don’t feel the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is sufficient.”
Oregon has been cutting their police forces like crazy with the economy in the dumps, so people have had to make do.
There’s some talk in the article about this being used against petty crime…still at the time this is just talk. Further how do you think petty criminals will react to this? Growing up in Maine, I have no idea if this is true, but it was always said that if you messed with lobster gear the lobsterman who owns that gear would murder you. Anything from taking lobsters from a trap, to stealing buoys. Petty shit, but death was the alleged punishment. This of course was murder and a serious crime for the lobsterman, but guess what kids did when they found a lobster trap washed up on shore?
As his mother watched in horror, Haven Lee Norton screamed as a school bus rolled over him Monday morning.
“Then he went silent,” said Shannon Norton, Haven’s mother.
The driver of the Springtown school district bus didn’t hear her son as she drove over him, killing the 10-year-old, Shannon Norton said.
She told her son to cross in front of the bus, as he did every morning, while the lights were flashing and another child was getting on the bus, she said.
“I saw him slip,” Norton said. “He hollered, but [the bus] started rolling and [the driver] had taken her foot off the brake. He tried to get out of the way. He hollered, and I hollered.”
All the Precautions taken, yet still there was a death. Accidents happen. Of course when accidents happen with guns its a “Gun Death” and we should ban guns…what happens when its a school bus?
