Its all good, but I’m most amazed by the Union worker campaigning for Elizabeth Warren to avoid a union FINE! Its one despicable thing for unions to PAY workers to pad campaign rallies, its another to take money AWAY if they don’t support THEIR candidate!

I must say the AR-15 is probably one of the most ergonomically intuitive rifles. Its hard to improve on the controls or manual of arms of this guns. Except for the bolt release. Its fiddly to lock the bolt open on the AR, and while whacking the ping-pong-paddle with your palm works like a charm to dropping the bolt, its not a positive action like pressing the mag release or flicking the safety lever.
I’ve shot several rifles with a BAD lever, and when I get an AR, it is a MUST have!

One man has been arrested after police say he used a 4-foot tree branch to threaten a store clerk.
Marvin Jones, 43, was arrested Tuesday and could face charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Officers were called to the 7-Eleven at 1101 N. Western Ave. where they say Jones screamed obscenities at the them.
A store clerk told police that Jones, who referred to himself as “General Jones,” was banned from the store for making death threats against the store manager….After a struggle, police arrested him in the parking lot. While in the back of the police car, Jones tried to light himself on fire with a lighter, according to officers.
This dude is obviously more crazy than deadly…still a nice solid swing with a tree branch can certainly end somebody’s day. Hey but let’s not concern ourselves with things that aren’t “Gun Death”!

OK, the whole Zombie thing is silly. Its fiction not fact. Still I’m amused by things like this.
Still it has the shotgun, which we should know is NOT a good choice (still a box magazine fed scattergun is better than the traditional pump and semi-auto tube-loaders) And anybody who’s used a chainsaw knows their limitations. And stuff like the morning star are just silly!
Still a bunch of those things can be VERY useful for a REAL disaster.

As the gun guys like to chide, in their oversimplified way, “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” I agree. People with guns kill people. And sometimes they unintentionally kill themselves and others.
There’s a nice little “Gun Death” reference right there. Jason knows about the “Gun Death?” Files, yet he says things that fly right in the face of that information. Yep, guns are the cause of death, get rid of guns, you get rid of death. Yeah right!
It is a simply truth that the pro-gun guys live in denial about. When faced with reports of gun owners who unintentionally shoot themselves and others, pro-gun folks simply write it off, suggesting that those are rare examples and that those gun owners simply didn’t understand the 4 Rules of Gun Safety and had not been trained properly. (Personally, I prefer the 11 Rules of Gun Safety, but for some reason the gun guys never cite those).
First up the 11 rules of gun safety are overly complicated, and have some serious flaws. Its easy to remember and cite 3-4 rules…when you double that number it starts becoming intellectual masturbation. Also I HATE rules like “Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to shoot.” I will NEVER teach rules like this because its bullshit. When I put my carry gun away in the safe at night when I sleep, its loaded. Its also locked up. I’m not “ready to shoot it”, but it poses no danger. Plus superfluously unloading it just to adhere to this rule adds additional dangers. Also when I put my gun back on in the morning, I’m still not “Ready To Shoot it”, I hope I won’t NEED to shoot it, but if I do get attacked, I don’t think my assailant will be willing to wait while I load and make ready.
Still the bigger point he makes is more guns = more gun accidents, and he cites a bunch of stories to “Support” this.
It just isn’t true. Accidental deaths by firearms have been going DOWN over the last several years, meanwhile gun ownership has been going UP, as well as more people are choosing to be armed and go armed. Also despite all of this the “Gun Death” rate has been a flat 30,000 deaths per year for DECADES. Linoge further shows this.
Its just not true….but because he WANTS it to be true he says it anyway.
Good luck at winning support with arguments like that. You’re simply showing the REAL truth, people who oppose the 2nd Amendment are no rational or sane people.
Looks like there’s a trial date for Zimmerman
A judge set a tentative trial date next year for a neighborhood watch volunteer charged with fatally shooting Trayvon Martin.
In her first hearing since taking over the case, Judge Debra S. Nelson said June 10 would be the start of George Zimmerman’s trial, though the date could change as both sides get prepared for what is expected to be a three-week trial.
A judge has ruled that attorneys for a Florida neighborhood watch volunteer can inspect the school records and social media postings of the unarmed teenager he is accused of murdering.
Judge Debra S. Nelson said Friday that defendant George Zimmerman’s attorneys need to know whether Trayvon Martin’s school records and social media postings give any evidence that he had violent tendencies.
The argument for prosecution is that Martin was both a good kid, and was fighting for his life before Zimmerman killed him. I suspect the truth is that Martin was engaged in criminal activities on the night of his death, and was likely in a drug-altered state, and was fully prepared to murder Zimmerman for interrupting him. I think with his Social Media posts, and school disciplinary records as evidence the defense will find that case MUCH easier to make.
Wow these two stories are really impressive.
First up, you know how I feel about Obama, but damn I gotta give him credit where it is due.
That’s a pretty killer buzzword. Of course the “Anti-War” President who was going to close the Gitmo Prison, could get cut by this double-edged sword…I still think the Romney campaign is too stupid to beat it.

Can’t find what I just heard in a radio interview, but Rand Paul is attempting to get the Ron Paul people to support Romney because Johnson has zero chances of winning, and Romney is closer to Ron and Rand Paul’s ideals than Obama. He’s got a great point.
Of course it doesn’t sway my support for Governor Johnson, because A) I live in Massachusetts, so its not like my vote is doing shit here, B) I know Mitt Romney, and he’s a leader and will get things done. I also know that Obama won’t have a ultra “Progressive” 2nd Term, because to do that sort of action, he’ll need to show leadership, and I just don’t think he has that ability. I’ll take an ineffectual and hated President whom is against me, over a RINO President who will pass laws and rally the Legislature that might not be in my best interest.
Also another thing to consider is that Obama might be more dangerous as a private citizen than as a President. He was a BOMBSHELL on the campaign trail of ’08, and he’s not a guy who will quietly retire if he still has a chance to jet-set around the country and make speeches for adoring fans. In the midterm election to Combat an Obama endorsement, a candidate will need Romney’s help (and with Romney as President he WILL be the RNC), and candidates who are more like Rand Paul might need to moderate their message to get his full support.
As for the Supreme Court, if Romney wins I’d bet my lunch money one or more of the Heller 5 will retire, and I am NOT willing to bet that he’ll pick somebody BETTER than them. Meanwhile if Obama wins the Heller 5 will hold their water and wait until the next term to step down. Also while Elana Kagen and Sonia Sotomayor are horrible, are they REALLY worse then the Commie goons they replaced?
I still fear President Romney more than I fear President Obama.
Not only is the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston such a crime zone locals call it “Murderpan”, they have Coyotes!
The Mattapan coyote didn’t just have 15 minutes of fame. It had a full hour. And oh, what an hour it was.
It was about 11:30 a.m. yesterday when a worker at the Mildred Avenue Middle School spotted the beast on a set of train tracks near the building. By noon, the animal had two animal-control officers chasing him through yards, two more on the way, TV news choppers hovering above Blue Hill Avenue tracking the pursuit and a phalanx of breathless reporters and photojournalists who snapped pictures of the captured creature being led into a van about 12:30 p.m. as if he were a criminal suspect captured after a frantic highway chase.
And don’t give me bullshit of a coyote not being a threat, as we’ve had attacks in Boston in the past, and if it was no threat, why did they need to deploy all those officers?
BTW back in Maine I was chilling out on my family’s porch enjoying a summer afternoon, when a cop car pulled up in front of my neighbor’s house, pulled out a shotgun and fired into their hill. He had seen a small raccoon wandering in the shrubs, and took him out with a well-aimed shot into a good solid backstop.
He bagged the critter, tagged it, and went on his way, giving me a waive. Every year a few pets and sometimes a few people get bit by a rabid animal, so a nocturnal creature wandering in broad daylight is a public heath risk, and was shot on sight. No SWAT team, no fiasco, just a dead critter in an evidence bag.
I have no issue with this!
There was a Shooting the other day in Boston:
It is the second time this week a young teen has been charged with murder. A 14-year-old boy, Ernest Watkins IV, was charged Monday with the stabbing death of a 39-year-old man who resisted when a group of teenagers tried to rob him on Oct. 6 near the Fields Corner MBTA station in Dorchester, police said.
But wait, there’s more!
A 15-year-old Brighton High School student and two men were charged today with murder and illegal gun possession in connection with a shooting Wednesday night in the South End, an apparent targeted killing, prosecutors said.
So we live in a state where getting a permit to OWN a handgun is a maybe, all legal guns are registered, many guns are excluded from public sale, and magazines that hold more than 10 are heavily restricted. All this and we have murders by minors, and high-speed car chases!
Seems to be working GREAT! I think those other states with LOWER crime than Massachusetts should adopt our bullshit!

An MTA spokesman said that Dina Saint-Fleur, 25, slashed at least two people after getting into a dispute on a J train around 8:45 a.m. Earlier reports indicated as many as seven people stabbed.
The argument continued while they were riding the escalator on the way up to the street, police said.
Wouldn’t it have been horrible if somebody had a gun and shot this monster? The anits think so, because “Knife Death” is irrelevant, but “Gun Death” is horrible.
I have nothing for them but contempt!
