For me its no the incident, but the history:
The family of a 32-year-old mother of five shot and killed by a Border Patrol agent as he rode on her car’s hood in suburban San Diego has filed a wrongful death claim against the agency, saying the agent had a long history of misconduct in a previous law enforcement job and should not have been on the street….The documents, a required precursor for a lawsuit, say the agent, 34-year-old Justin Tackett, was suspended four times for misconduct including crashing a patrol car and violating suspects’ rights in the nearly four years that he worked as an Imperial County sheriff’s deputy. Tackett had been given a notice that he’d be fired just before he quit the job in 2003, the documents say.
The incident is bad, but one can question weather the officer was first assaulted with the deadly weapon of a car. Still this officer was doing a lot of bad things over a series of several years. Why do Law Enforcement Agencies let it come to this?

Talking about this article. What they don’t really talk about is it seems the big boom was Old Bill Ruger dying.
No disrespect, but Bill Ruger was a Gun Culture 1.0 guy. Their handguns were big and heavy, and mostly held 10 or less rounds. Their rifles were “hunting style”. Now the big sellers are their polymer pistols and revolvers made for concealed carry, AR-15 rifles, and of course now Ruger is making hi-capacity magazines for the Mini-14 and the 10/22, where the market had been exclusively 3rd party.
America loves their semi-auto handguns that hold more than 10, they like light concealable handguns, they LOVE AR-15 rifles. (Heck even the Mini-14 is now being sold from the factory in full “Black Rifle” configuration.
Even with Obama speaking of gun bans, I suspect he’ll have a HELL of an uphill battle to go against what is the vast majority of America.
The graveyard shift bartender at the Crown & Anchor heard a mighty crash and ran outside to find scattered body parts, a demolished vehicle and four dead people….Not everyone was dead, though. And as rescue crews worked to free the driver from the wrecked car, he asked loud enough to be heard by the bartender:
“Did I make it to the liquor store?”
Now cars are legal, liquor is legal, drunk driving is illegal, but killing somebody with a gun is illegal and that isn’t enough for those who use “Gun Death”, so what do we need to ban?
Nothing, because those who use “Gun Death” drink, and drive…tho maybe not together. They only want to restrict the rights they don’t personally use!
Suz sent me these two links about a nasty little family law case in Ellsworth Maine. From one of the articles:
You may have heard of a man named Vladek Filler. He’s the ex husband of a woman named Ligia Filler.
Ligia is now a resident of Maine, who entered the country on an marriage immigration visa, who falsely accused Mr Filler of spousal abuse, and of raping her, resulting in two trials.
Through VAWA, her citizenship in the United States was fast tracked by bringing these accusation, but we all know that even if given incentive, women would never lie about abuse.
However, although she has never been charged, Ligia Filler, aside from abusing the couple’s children and Mr. Filler, also threatened to murder him and to murder the police officers who picked her up, promising to dismember their bodies with the help of her relatives.
Both prosecutions brought against Mr Filler were pursued by Bar Harbour Assistant District Attorney Mary Kellett. The first prosecution included no actual evidence against Mr Filler, but, based only on the testimony of Ligia Filler, Kellet obtained a conviction. This was overturned due to Kellett’s prosecutorial misconduct. Kellet had suppressed evidence clearly establishing Mr Filler’s innocence, as well as tampering with witnesses and instructing law enforcement officials not to comply with subpoenas.
Although the first pass at prosecution was thrown out, Kellet brought a retrial. Vladek Filler was acquitted. But we aren’t really dealing with a prosecutor who’s motivated by anything as quaint and old fashioned as justice. Ellsworth, Maine County Sheriff’s Office Medical Examiner had given Ligia Filler a full physical inspection, following her claims of abuse by Vladek, and found no signs of any physical abuse. Four days after this physical inspection, a photo of Ligia Filler’s arm, depicting a bruise, was used to convict him of spousal abuse. And he was sentenced to 21 days in jail.
Go read the the whole thing in both because this is a VERY dense story. Also these videos tell at LOT of the facts of the case.
A Voice for Freedom is doing good work to push back the bias against men in Family court, but this case goes even deeper than that with immigration and corruption issues.
Suz (who BTW’s blog link is dead, I hope that’s temporary) sent this to me because I’m from Maine, and have a good bunch of readers from my home state. We need to be aware, and take action on this monster of a case!
A pervert has walked free from court after pleading guilty to possessing a hoard of child and animal porn – including videos of sex with an OCTOPUS.
Robert Peter Moore, 31, had amassed a massive collection of pornography including 35 images and 79 videos of humans having sex with a range of animals also including a pig, a goat and a horse.
Judge Colin Burn declined to view the pictures of the extreme animal porn after prosecution counsel Jeremy Hill-Baker said the images “speak for themselves”.

Three people were stabbed early Sunday morning during a fight at a large house party on Dayton Road.
This is the dream of those who use the metric of “Gun Death”, nobody getting shot, but lots of people getting stabbed! Isn’t that a rosy world they want?
