Jeff Takes on 40mm!

Very cool! Of course it invokes my hatred of the NFA! Can you think of a better sporting purpose than shooting double-trap with a 40mm Birdshot load? The object of the game would be similar to standard shotgun trap, but a perfect score would be breaking both birds with ONE 40mm shot rather than two scatter-gun shots.

But of course the people who DON’T engage in sport shooting are the people who make the rules…hence why the “Assault Weapons Ban” banned, restricted, and made some various shooting sports a pain in the ass.

That’s the same logic of making ME the commissioner of Baseball. Don’t watch the sport, don’t play the sport, don’t really LIKE the sport…so why not let me make the rules…great idea, huh?

Man that was a fun video, love that last slow-mo of the chalk round heading down range. Thumpy!

Because what better way to lead us into the weekend than a feel-good story, special effects studio Spectral Motion and Hellboy actor Ron Perlman recently teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant a wish for a little boy named Zachary.

Yep, Ron Perlman is such a Mench that he went through all that crazy Hollywood makeup just so a little boy who was in a bad way could meet his hero Hellboy for real!

“Gun Death” Fight Turned Deadly

Those who use the term “Gun Death” frequently claim that guns are different because they can turn simple fights and arguments deadly.

He was fighting with someone about 10:30 p.m. when that person pulled out a knife and stabbed him several times, said police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.

Gaines did not know whether the stabbing stemmed from a domestic situation, but said one person was being questioned early Thursday.

The argument turned deadly…and no “Gun Death”

Their arguments are invalid!

Dog Gone Accidently Gets It.

Dog Gone is a useful idiot and a full-time plagiarist. But it seems she accidentally made a valid point.

A question – wasn’t it ILLEGAL to be firing guns where this celebratory gun play that resulted in injuries or deaths occurred?

If so, why aren’t the police charging the celebratory shooters?

I can’t imagine the point of shooting guns in celebration, rather than at a specific target. Whatever happened to the rules of safety, like knowing where your bullet is going?

I’m sure it was an accident, and she’ll quickly return to her regularly scheduled re-printing of other people’s work, and Joyce-funded idiocy.

A stopped watch is right twice a day, and anti-rights cultist is right maybe 2-3 times per year.

Gotta love the language police part of the “Progressive” Goal Post Moving:

First of all, Mr. … Ms. … um … “Van” doesn’t want to be referred to with a “gendered pronoun.” Not for nothing, but as wonderful as the English language is, we’re still working with a finite number of words here. Once you remove “he” and “she” from the mix, we’re pretty much left with “it.” And I’m fairly sure somebody is going to be offended by that. You’re sort of throwing a wet blanket on your future news coverage potential, pal.

Second, what’s up with this acronym BGLTQ? I’m leaving the full definition in the quoted text above because it certainly seems to come from a source which should know, but weren’t we supposed to not be using the “Q word” when referring to gay people? I thought that was pretty much verboten, at least for those not playing on that team. But now it’s part of the official public lexicon?

No, “Queer” is only OK when THEY use it. Its the same as naturally inoffensive terms like “Mentally Retarded”, “Cripple”, or “Midget”. The most shining example is the NAACP. The “CP” stands for “Colored People”, because when the group was founded “Colored” was the preferred Politically Correct term for those with dark skin. At that time “Black” was a crass and offensive term…now the goal posts have been flipped 180 degrees, and calling somebody from Kenya “Colored” will mark you as some peckerwood racist bumpkin, and “Black” is considered proper…unless the person doesn’t like that term and prefers something else.

You see even if you aren’t, you’re already a racist because that’s more convenient, as they hate you for who you are anyway!

This is why I always put quotes around “Progressive”, really progress is the opposite of any of this bullshit.

More Signs That The TSA Is Worthless!

So when you enter into the Airport Secure Area you need to ditch all your liquids that don’t fit into the magical one-quart bag, because it could be made of horrible explosives yet to be discovered by science. (Other explosive devices will be permitted of course)

But until recently the beverages sold inside the terminal area were considered screened and safe.

Nope, now THOSE are potentially dangerous as well. Of course they are! We’ve all seen the massive pallets of beverage being brought into terminals for sale in stores. You KNOW the incompetent goons in blue-gloves don’t check EVERY pallet. Of course what they’re not noting is that will there be ANOTHER screening station at the gate? I mean sure the goons can check your spring water or juice in your hand, but are they going to dig through your carry-on bag too?

They are nothing but a series of security holes tied together by a bunch of self-righteous High School dropouts!

DISBAND THE TSA YESTERDAY!!!

“Flight Risk” Out on Bail

George Zimmerman posted bail yesterday:

George Zimmerman was released from jail on Friday, one day after a Florida judge set bail at $1 million.

Judge Kenneth R. Lester Jr. found that Zimmerman’s deceit over cash holdings at his first bond hearing in April was not enough to hold him without bail. However, he also said he believed the suspect may have been planning to flee the country to avoid prosecution in the killing of Florida teen Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman had to post 10% of the $1 million — or $100,000 — to meet the requirement for release.

And I suspect he won’t “flee the country”, nor will he flee the county, as that’s a term of his release. I’m a bit concerned about his safety as a county is a lot easier to search than a state, or region, and again there are people who want to murder Mr. Zimmerman.

Still the good guys are doing the good thing:

Since news of the judge’s decision broke, roughly $20,000 was donated to Zimmerman’s defense, according to a website set up to raise funds.

Let’s hope justice can be found in this boondoggle. I’m skeptical at best….

“Gun Death” Another Stabbing

Those who use the metric of “Gun Death” will later use the metric of “Knife Death” when they aim to ban knives.

Police arrested a Sharon man at a Greyhound bus station in Youngstown, Ohio Saturday evening in connection with the stabbing death of a Mercer County woman.

More and more of us are owning guns these days, and damn near all of us don’t commit acts of murder. We ALL own knives, and the contrast is even more stark. Knives were some of the first tools created by the first humans and even some of our pre-human relatives. We have ALWAYS all had knives. Even in places where knives are banned EVERYBODY has knives, and the laws just dictate what knives can be had, and where they can be possessed. The only thing that stops people from stabbing other people are laws…oh and stabbing other people is already illegal!

The methodology of those who use the term “Gun Death” is pure stupidity!

Presser from Dragon Leatherworks

Dragon Leatherworks is now a Class 01 Licensed Firearms Dealer!

In order to service our growing client base, Dragon Leatherworks applied for, and has now been issued, their Federal Firearms Class 01 license. What this means for you is that if you have a firearm which we do not list as an available model for a holster, you can ship us the firearm through your local FFL (we would provide your FFL with a copy of our license for his records of the transfer), we will build and fit the holster specifically to your firearm, then ship it back to your FFL with the finished holster for you to pick it back up.

And for our local clientele in East Tennessee, we also provide transfer services for GunBroker purchases, transfer services for gun auction purchases, and the like.

We will also be rolling out Package Deals for the holiday season, where we will be offering handgun sales paired up with our signature holsters, ready to ship! Keep an eye on the site for forthcoming terms and conditions for firearms transfers, all of which must be performed in accordance with ATF Regulations

So now not only can you buy yourself a nice custom holster for your favorite gun from Dragon Leatherworks, you can get the gun itself directly from the shop! It’ll be interesting to see what other business deals he’ll be doing to take advantage of being an 01FFL.

I remember at the NRA Con a few years ago Dennis was contemplating getting an FFL so that he could acquire less common guns for holster manufacture. Guns like Glocks, M&Ps, and 1911s all have a huge replica market out there that can be easily mail-ordered for holster fabrication, but the latest cool-gun on the block doesn’t have the legacy for companies like Rings Blue Guns to start a production run, so the easiest way to make holsters for it is to simply acquire an actual firearm from the manufacturer.

Having an FFL makes that a TON easier.
