More Brady Blood Dancing

A weeping woman used to keep people from examining the facts. Hey, but the Brady Bunch is politicizing this, so Game on.

Let’s look at the shooting.

-Trolly Square Mall is a posted Gun-Free Zone, and I believe those signs have power of law (I wasn’t able to confirm this, can somebody help me?) **UPDATE** I stand corrected, the signs are non-binding. So simple trespass laws are all that police can enforce after a patron refuses to leave having being spotted ignoring the signs.

-There was discussion that an 18-year-old could NOT legally buy a shotgun without a stock affixed to it. I don’t know the end result, but there were charges filed. He also has a pistol on him which he could NOT legally own or carry.

-The shooter was a Muslim, and was shouting “Allah Hu Ackbar” while shooting. This is NOT considered a terrorist attack, nor is the mass-shooting at Ft. Hood.

-The attack was stopped by a citizen with a personal concealed handgun. They happened to be a Police officer who was off-duty who had immunity from the signs on the door, but the 911 response was too late.

Do you HONESTLY think more gun laws would have stopped this? Also I think we can all note the commonplace of mass-shooters and terrorists selecting places where guns are prohibited when they go out to kill unarmed people.

Blood on shoes, blood on hands.

They aren’t ashamed, but they should be!

“Gun Death” Lab

Why would anybody need to work on vaccines? You can’t hunt with them!

A young research associate killed by a highly virulent strain of meningococcal disease is believed to have contracted the bacteria from the San Francisco lab where he was working on a vaccine against it, public health officials said on Thursday.

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention experts are seeking to confirm what they already suspect: that Richard Din, 25, died Saturday in an unusual case of a scientist being fatally infected with an agent from his own laboratory.

Just like the lawful carry of firearms can result in some “Gun Death” work on vaccines and other diseases can lead to fatal accidents. I would say its a risk well worth it…those who hate freedom want to ban it.

Who’s side are you on?

Government Modeling

So Facebook goes public. Its a fairly new business model. It was also heavily hyped, and it just so happens that the stock has been dropping pretty hard ever since it hit the market.

Why is the government sticking their nose in it? BECAUSE THEY CAN!

Frankly this stock is so new its likely mostly day trading fluctuations. Those investments are gambling, and really have nothing to do with the company value. Once people get used to the stock and the buzz settles down the volatility will too.

Hey but let’s get the semi-literate drunks in the Legislature in on this, because you know they’re some of the few people who could fuck-up a steel ball, so let’s see what a mess they make!

Trayvon Martin Day?

Really?

Friday is “Trayvon Martin Day” at one D.C. elementary school, where teachers and school officials are hoping to use the polarizing case as a teaching tool for students, parents and community members.

The declaration is part of Malcolm X Elementary School’s “Let’s Keep Our Children Safe” seminar, which will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, WJLA reports….Coleman told WJLA that every adult who attends the seminar will receive a bottle of iced tea and every student will receive a bag of Skittles

No word if they will also hand out dime bags of kind bud and pipes, or if they’ll encourage a memorial act of petty theft and wanton assault?

Maybe burning of a white person in effigy…but not in a racist way…

Good job guys!

Don’t Mess With Texas

Over at Robbs:

Alan:”That’s why deadly force is always a last resort. You only use it when the only alternative is that you or yours die.

(Or if you’re in Texas, sumdude is running off with your bigscreen.)”

Tam:”I thought that was only after dark? Or is it hubcaps after dark? Something like that… ”

Alan: “It’s cheerleaders TPing your trees you can shoot after dark. ”

Its a wonder there’s any crime in Texas!

Of course there also isn’t a wide spread epidemic of people shooting pranksters or other likely-innocent rapscallions in Texas.

Of course those of us who carry guns know that just HAVING the means to kill doesn’t somehow add a desire to kill. Further one of the cores of military training is to mentally prepare soldiers to kill, because even in a combat theater with full-auto weapons soldiers are reluctant to kill.

Shooting is ALWAYS the last resort. Of course the antis say blood will run in the streets. Reality is why they’re always wrong!

Lunchbreak Jam

I NEED Dubstep, specifically when I’m lifting weights. Its hard to push through the fatigue without a DRIVING beat.

So when I work out I put on my Dubstep Pandora station. This song came on. I hadn’t heard it before so I was curious. Generally I don’t much care for pop vocals, but the beat was good so I said “I’ll give it until the drop to decide”.

Yeah its GOOD!

Refreshing

I’m very surprised to see this.

Recently The View had President Obama on and lobbed soft-balls at him so he could have an effective campaign add without having to pay for air time.

Still its good to see the women of the The View actually showing some backbone. I was expecting them to take more of a Position taken by NOW, which is the same as their stance on Bill Clinton. Paraphrase: “Well its OK if Democrats abuse women!”

I’m also glad she’s Ms. Cupp is just speaking out against it, but not attempting a showboat lawsuit.

More here.

“Gun Death” Altercation

Of course those who use the metric of “Gun Death” claim that without guns altercations will be settled peacefully. They don’t really meld with reality.

A Minneapolis man fatally stabbed his roommate during an altercation in their apartment Monday, according to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday, May 2.

Abdurahman Warfa, 27, was found by police Monday “lying on his back in a large pool of blood” with “a stab wound to his neck,” the complaint said. The Hennepin County medical examiner said Warfa died of “complications of a sharp-force injury to the left shoulder.”

Also present when police arrived was Warfa’s roommate, Abdirahim Mahamed Jama, 38. According to the complaint, Jama’s clothing was covered with blood.

“He attacked me and I stabbed him,” Jama told police.

Jama was charged with two counts of second-degree murder Wednesday.

But there were no guns! Why is there a dead body?

Oh yeah, those who use the metric of “Gun Death” aren’t from this planet!
