A Florida teenager was charged Wednesday with murdering his grandmother by stabbing her 93 times and shooting her in the head with a crossbow.
Jasper Aristotle Smiddie, 19, confessed to stabbing his grandmother, 67-year-old Gloria Helfrich, shooting her in the head with a crossbow and beating her with a pipe wrench, MyFoxTampaBay.com reports….Authorities say Smiddie decided to kill his grandmother to make his uncle suffer. They say he originally plotted to kill his uncle, but decided to kill Helfrich instead.
“He decided, ‘Well, I’ll kill my grandmother instead so that my uncle has to live with the death of his mother for the rest of his life,’ ” Sheriff Grady Judd of the Polk County Sheriff’s Department said.
Authorities say they do not know why the teen hated his uncle so vehemently, but told MyFoxTampaBay.com that he has been very open about the murder.
That’s all kinds of messed up, and the Antis could care less. They could care less because only “Gun Death” is relevant to them. Is it relevant to you?
h/t Maddmedic and

Yesterday was a busy one, I didn’t get to talk about my weekend of shooting. After my trip to Harvard I decided I needed a little trigger time to square myself away. (I was “on” but not “Dead On”)
The solution is MORE .22!!!
So the S&W617 came to the range as well as my Beretta 21A (for nothing but shits and giggles) and I also brought my FAL and my Hunting Magazine to test for reliability. Well there were pros and cons with the 5-shot DSA Magazine. The Good was that it ran like a top…the con is that its a 10-shot magazine. Wally’s going to limit for me, so that problem will be solved in time. It may be for the best because I can’t imagine a magazine being much smaller and still easily manipulated in the rifle.
.22 shooting went well. Nothing to report.
Then on Sunday Evening Christina, Sci-Fi and I hit the range. Had a ton of fun, and shot a bunch of stuff, and had lots of fun. Christina decided after her second shooting of my Cz-82 that its is what it is…and what it is is a spectacular compact firearm for short money!
Oh and I was carrying my Kahr PM45 all day with a 7-shot magazine beside my 5-shot in my Remora Mag Carrier. The carrier works like a charm, the Magazine works like a charm, and doesn’t alter the feel of the gun even with the extra mag hanging out (I get a full 3-fingers on the gun, so I don’t have to worry about squeezing the exposed mag body while shooting).
So yeah I’ll need to order another one of those so I can have two 7s to backup my 5+1 Pm45. That’s the nice part about semi-autos is you’re not married to just one-size mag. Meanwhile with a revolver, you’re packing 5,6, maybe 7, and 8 is pushing it, and that’s what you reload to. Even when I carried 6-shot speed strips to reload my J-frame I knew that getting those extra rounds into play was mostly wishful thinking.
Great times!
North Slaps it out of the park today. First here:
You and I wear guns to protect ourselves and our loved ones against criminals. The criminals would rather we not have guns, so they can take what they want from us. Property/rape – taking what is NOT theirs.
Along comes the anti. They want us unarmed because it is “better” for them, not for us. They want to take our God-given right to protect ourselves away – taking what is NOT theirs.
I want to keep what is mine. The ugly criminal can’t have it. The rapist can’t have it. The foolish gray-haired MN liar can’t have it.
Criminals and antis are no different.
Then on the Black List
No number of laws can guarantee my safety as much as clicking off my safety can.
Well said, buddy!
Speaking of the foolish gray-haired MN liar, it appears that Minnesota’s Governor has vetoed the Castle Doctrine.
Say what he will, he caved into the shills and liars. Still I wouldn’t worry much, as I can say “Just get the law up again in the next session, and maybe replace the governor with one who understands freedom, and doesn’t cater to criminals.” And that’s all POSSIBLE! You see all the antis can do is manipulate sympathetic people, such as Police Chiefs willing to lie to secure the big paycheck and nice office at the Police Station, and Governors who feel REALLY BAD when a junkie gets gut-shot for attempting to rape a woman who HAPPENS to have a 9mm in her belt.
But we are the majority, and we are NOT the shills and liars. We do what we do because its right. We do it because we want a better society and safer streets, and we don’t get paid to do it.
All it takes is a little hard work…and given that we aren’t “Progressives” we aren’t afraid of that either!
Man Arrested for carrying a Loaded Bowcaster into a polling place.
Film at Noon! GWAAAAAARK!
Police said Tuesday that they have arrested five people in the shocking deaths of an Arizona couple found tied up and burned beyond recognition in their stylish stucco home in a posh Phoenix suburb.
The murders of Lawrence and Glenna Shapiro, well-to-do philanthropists in their 70s, were the first in nearly eight years in Paradise Valley, which is set among picture-perfect mountains popular with hikers and is home to some of the area’s nicest resorts and lushest golf courses.
Pretty brutal, huh? But not a “Gun Death”. This doesn’t count, because only “Gun Death” counts.
Sound like a “Loophole” to you?
A northwest Iowa man faces up to 10 years in prison for selling guns without a license.
Federal prosecutors say in a news release that 62-year-old Tony Hulstein, of Sheldon, was found guilty last week in federal court in Sioux City. Hulstein was convicted of selling firearms without a license and of four counts of traveling in interstate commerce to sell firearms.
Prosecutors say that in less than five years, Hulstein obtained and disposed of more than 800 guns. He had nearly 100 firearms when he was arrested.
Hulstein faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Note that there are no charges with selling to prohibited persons.
So much for the “Gun Show Loophole”. Doesn’t seem like much of a “Loophole” if you go to prison for doing it…
It’s Tomorrow in a bunch of states, including mine.
