Nothing but a speeding ticket machine, with a few thrown in for “Excessive Engine Noise”
Still being America, if you want it and have the bread, buy it, enjoy it!
I’ve always loved the lines on the new Elise as well.

Mitt Romney and his massive assaults on individual liberty as Governor of Massachusetts.
Rick Perry generally coming across as a soft-headed dullard who REALLY hates the homos
and now this fucking communist!
If you think otherwise you’re part of the problem, NOT the solution.
So in November, like many others, I plan to vote for the lesser of two evils. From my score card that’s Barack Obama.
If your card looks different, let me know.
Not a relevant post, but if this annoys Mark Smith its worth it.
But FYI I get more traffic from people bitching about Robert Farago stealing their stuff and being idiots than an actual link from the Troll himself.
…and that’s damning with faint praise because this isn’t a big blog day as far as traffic is concerned.
Bob has this post linking to this post from Cranky Chicks with guns.
No quotes from the cited blogs, go read the whole things, both Sarah’s description of the attack and the defense, and Bob brings some great insight as well.
I’ll recap simply, some shitback swung by Sarah’s Brother’s trailer where she’s staying helping out. The guy cased the house and likely KNEW there would be people at home. It was a trailer, so its not like he expected to sneak around without being detected. Sarah’s sister-in-law put a 9mm Gold Dot inches from his head as he attempted to enter a forced door, and the guy exited the property with great haste.
I think everything went down perfectly, and any “mistakes” are simply minor oversights that may have made things a bit better, but in the end they were targeted by a jerk, its all on his head which he’s lucky to still have intact.
Also those who say Defensive Gun Uses are a myth or a rarity, note that this is a BLOG post done by one of the victims, not the local paper. Don’t expect to hear about this in the local news….and remember they are NOT alone.
Glad everybody is safe. I will repeat one quote cited by Bob found here.
Those Americans who have acquired handguns for protection are living with “serious delusions,” says Caroline Brewer, a spokeswoman for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. She contends that few are trained rigorously enough to deploy their weapons in the shock and heat of an attack, that they’ll shoot innocent bystanders, that more times than not their firearms will be turned against them.
If you support or work for the Brady Campaign, or the other like-minded anti-freedom pro-criminal mills. You are a bad person, and you should eat nothing but shit for the rest of your miserable life. Fuck you.
And to Sarah and company, I’m so glad you’re all doing well, and I wish you the best.
Oh one more thing, Sarah’s post is titled “You Picked the Wrong House, Asshole”. A great sentiment. Note that those who call for gun control want YOUR house to be the RIGHT house for the ASSHOLE. Anti-freedom, Pro Criminal!
In reading discussion of this issue I found this quote by rubberbaron
I’m a writer on the internet (huzzah!) and was approached by Robert Farago to write for TTAG. I did end up writing a few articles for the site, but he and I never clicked. Our email exchanges were rather stupid, with him always asking for my writing to be more confrontational or asking me to make it different in abstract ways, by using buzz words and meaningless adjectives.
I’ve written many places around the web and never had anyone edit the content of my work before (most editors adjust for typos, etc, and/or give feedback), but Farago would alter my writing to make it fit in with his vision for the site, which made me look like a shitty writer, I thought. He’d insert jokey lines that were completely absent of my tone. Some editors do this, but you rarely do it to someone who you brought in for their specific voice.
In the end I only wrote a handful of articles, made a couple of bucks (he was late in payment but did pay), and we went our separate ways. While I wouldn’t say my time there was horrible, since the job was very passive, I can say I hated having him as an editor.
Very interesting indeed. It doesn’t surprise knowing my various interactions with the man. Also interesting that he presses authors to be “More Confrontational” in what sounds like for the pure sake of drumming up controversy. Also explains why he has such a nefarious co-author .
As they say in Serenity, “You can’t stop the signal!”
Don’t B&E in New Hampshire, those people are free.
A Merrimack woman scared off a morning intruder who kicked in the door to her apartment after she retrieved a handgun which was kept in her home exactly for this purpose, police said.
Now the anti-rights types might say those who keep a gun for home defense are paranoid and are 458 times more likely to kill a family member, or other such hooey.
I think this woman would be pleased to tell them each individually, or as a group what she thinks.
Good on her for such fast thinking and preparation, I very well could have saved her life.

Again Robert Farago stealing the works of others, and then being rude and disrespectful when asked to give attribution or take it down. I’m not one to look into the legality of this, the works stolen from me was a gift-banner from reader Bluesun and rides at the mast-head of a blog I do purely for fun and for the good of the cause. I don’t have any damages for it, and I suspect Farago will fight any claim made against him incurring damages of time and treasure to me. Instead It doesn’t take much effort to point out that if Mr. Farago IS in the legal right using the images he takes without attribution, permission, and often with the expressed disapproval of the rightful owner, it shows clearly that he views all others in the community with open contempt.
If you read The Truth About Guns, I must ask you, Why?
Oh BTW Mr. Toombs, who has raised this current complaint appears to be quite the photographer, he also has a really neat blog here that has some neat photos and gunnie goodness.
Keep us posted, Ben. But in the least, pass the word on about your experiences with this swine.
**UPDATE**
Linoge points out more discussion here. The Truth is the LAST thing The Truth About Guns wants us to hear.
Obviously background checks are the solution to everything.
A judge ruled Wednesday that a couple charged with killing a neighbor whose body was found outside in a box will be jailed without bond until an evidentiary hearing….They were arrested Nov. 14 in Southern California after the body of 58-year-old Harold Myles Shilberg was found Nov. 9 outside an apartment building on East Fremont Street in Las Vegas. His body had multiple cuts.
Authorities said a bloody saw and clothing were found in the apartment of the suspects….Police said the couple was videotaped at a rental store in Las Vegas buying a garment-sized box like the one in which Shilberg was found.
So what will it be. Background checks on saws? Background checks on garment boxes?
Or maybe because this isn’t a “Gun Death” we shouldn’t get so worked up about little things like murder?

A a little while back I posted this video where just some random pizza boy was quoted in a pro-gun news story just to give the story an appearance of “Balance”. Watch this piece all the way through.
They picked some random beta male for the word of opposition. And it wasn’t necessarily the word of opposition just that he wouldn’t buy a gun for a Christmas gift. Maybe that too personal and you just want to HELP somebody buy a gun on their own. I own a few guns that I bought thanks to a Christmas or birthday check, cash, or gift certificate.
Tho I’ve also given guns as gifts too…so who knows.
Still its not like they could easily find anybody who was opposed to this, nor were any of the anti-freedom activists easily accessible.
Another sign that hating guns is becoming more and more a thing of the past.

Linoge unboxes the Crimson Trace Laser grip designed specifically for the Gen 4 Glocks. What makes this awesome is A: The Product isn’t yet available for general sale. and B) Linoge is not keeping or using it, instead it is a donation for the Soldier’s Angel’s charity.
I will note that he’s a few hundred bucks shy of two-grand. Can we band together to fix that…preferably with overtravel?
