Stuff I Didn’t Know

This is REALLY cool!

I always assumed that the magnetic surplus ammo I had was a copper and iron alloy, rather than a sandwich.

Makes me wonder about barrel life….of course like people talking about extractor wear when shooting steel case ammo, the fact that an extractor (or a barrel) is hardened steel (and in some cases chrome lined in rifle barrels…does anybody chrome line pistol barrels?) the wear is more-than-likely academic under normal shooting volumes.

Just an Amusing Story

So I found this story via Joan Peterson

A St. Paul man was charged Tuesday with making terroristic threats after allegedly pointing a gun at someone who confronted him about a bad parking job late Saturday morning, police say.

Essentially a dude parked in another dude. When the dude who knows how to park confronted the other asshole, and the asshole like he did flashed his gun and made a threat.

Cops were called, dude was arrested, and I suspect will be convicted, and that’s really the end of that.

What Joan is probably trying to say was this guy was a nut, and he had a carry permit, so ALL of us who carry are also nuts, and we should BAN ALL GUNS!!!!!

Of course I’ll point out that nobody got physically harmed, and the nut will NEVER LEGALLY OWN A FIREARM EVER AGAIN. So, that’s why we have laws, and that’s EXACTLY how they work.

But Really why I’m typing is to share this photo sourced by the St. Paul Police:

Bersa HK

Bersa 380, the Poor-man’s PPK…and PPKs aren’t that expensive, but it looks like the mags are stoked with some good JHP ammo….I’m not an expert ammo-spotter, but maybe it’s Speer Gold Dots? Anybody else know for sure?

But it’s loaded HK style in the mag!

Not sure if this was his spare or the mag in the gun, but the rim of that case is beat to hell….wonder if he tried to chamber it that way.

Either way, since Joan knows NOTHING about guns (but wants to ban them) she doesn’t get the irony of how far ANYBODY was from being hurt.

So Even Playing Devil’s Advocate…

And I really can’t because let’s face it, bribes, or threats were made to have this all go down.

Still take aside the fact that the Clinton Foundation is a Criminal Racket…

Martha Stewart went to prison for less than what Hillary Clinton did IN PRESS CONFERENCES!!!

That’s not even peeling back the curtain and looking at what evidence the FBI actually found.

And because I feel it’s relevant and wanted to share it anyway:

Yep. FEEL MY JOHNSON!

Gunblog Variety Cast Ep 98: The Queen of All Media

The latest show is up!

It’s Erin’s first episode as regular co-host, and wouldn’t you know it, she’s started reorganizing and redecorating. Just be grateful she didn’t insist upon more ponies in the show…

Beth Alcazar talks with Carla Corrigan about being a new mom with a gun.

Sean Sorrentino investigates the story “Mom shot while holding baby inside Wake County home; Man arrested”.

In the Tech Tips segment, Barron explains credit card skimmers.

In our main topic this week, Erin gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what went into her recent interview with the BBC.

Tiffany Johnson tells us about the recent Supreme Court decision on the Texas abortion laws, and how it has some interesting reasoning that may have a striking effect on gun laws.

Erin Palette’s rapid rise to Queen of All Media didn’t happen in by accident; she gives you some idea of the prepping that went into her interview success.

Weer’d take Senator Jeanne Shaheen to the woodshed with another of his patented Weer’d Audio Fisks™.

And our plug of the week is for JM Custom Kydex holsters.

This Looks Really Good!

I may have to try this: “Center Court Strawberry Smash”

I made a strawberry smash for my wife with strawberries, St. Elder, white rum, pechaud’s bitters and seltzer….never fully work shopped it to get the ratios perfect, but it came out really good!
