Hide your Heat: Shoulder Thing

Seems I hear a lot of talk about shoulder holsters, and not much of it good. Common complaints are:

-Uncomfortable
-Hard to Hide
-Limited to certain wardrobes.

I have some older pictures that I never used in a post, and I’m away on vaction and syndicating posts, so why not fire this up. Pixs and review below the break. Continue reading

At Least There is Justice

Bob Finds Another Grim One

A Southern California man has been sentenced to death for the torture and murder of a 16-year-old runaway girl who was stabbed more than 130 times and left in a burning home.

Looks like there was statutory (if not forcible) rape in the case too. Thankfully the highest penalty has been imposed on this monster.

And again I’ll ask you to note that no gun was used, so this horrible crime again does not count as a “Gun Death”.

Senseless

Today’s “Gun Death?” is so senseless

A North Carolina man is being charged with murder after allegedly tossing a piece of concrete through the passenger-side window of a moving car Saturday, striking a teenage girl in the head and killing her, MyFox8.com reported.

Seventeen-year-old Shelby Chisom, a rising senior at North Davidson High School in Lexington, N.C., was pronounced dead Saturday, less than three weeks before the school year was scheduled to begin on Aug. 25.

A young life being cut short by an idiot looking for a cheap thrill. You won’t see this story on any pro-gun-control blogs because they could care less, a chunk of concrete isn’t a gun, and not something they’d be willing to call for a ban, so her senseless death is useless to them and their cold blood.

Have a Good Week

So Alan decided to dump last-night’s live bridge for Vicious Circle, sorry for all who attempted to tune in. The MP3 is up for all who are interested. Its Vicious Circle #63, and at least its better than Avatar! And FYI Kevin I was totally looking forward to watching The Expendables but now that Mr. “Go see Avatar, the plot sucks, but the visuals are totally worth it” *spit* says its a good “Summer Blow-up Movie” I wonder…. (I kid Kevin!)

So the wife and I are heading out of town for the week, I’ve syndicated a bunch of posts for the following week, so the site won’t totally go dark. Certainly some posts might call for some discussion. Carry on, and I’ll chime in when I return.

I must say switching to a wordpress blog from Livejournal has really made this blog better!

Have a good week people!

“Train Violence?”

So today’s “Gun Death?” is non-fatal, but that’s not for lack of effort.

A man abruptly pushed a woman into the side of a moving New York City subway train, then told bystanders he couldn’t explain his behavior, authorities said. The woman was hit but survived.

Jose Rojas, 25, was held without bail after his arraignment Thursday on attempted murder and assault charges, while victim Ute Linhart was hospitalized with broken ribs, a crushed sinus cavity and other injuries.

Thankfully his timing was bad, this could have easily been fatal. Tho in the anti-gun haven of New York City, why are they charging him? I mean this was “Train Violence” not “Gun Violence” so why isn’t there a problem.

On a “Small World” note, this is actually LJ Buddy Guav’s Boss. She had a similar experience before!

A few years ago, my boss was crossing the street when a car came racing around the corner and hit her, sending her flying up completely over the car 10 feet in the air. She landed in the street and the car kept going. Miraculously, she was almost completely unhurt. Badly bruised, but no broken bones (although she does have some nagging back pain from it). They figured out who the guy was—and he had been drinking—but since he didn’t actually injure her, he got off with no jail time (Don’t ask me why—I don’t understand either).

I wish her a speedy recovery, and Guav’s confusion with the drunk driver’s charges is exactly why I print these “Gun Death?” stories.

Nothing to See Here

This Wasn’t a “Gun Death”, so why is it News?

Dayton police found a man with stab wounds lying the middle of East Third Street Friday night.

Crews found the man near South Hedges Avenue around 11 p.m., and he was rushed to the hospital. He is listed in stable condition.

Man was severely stabbed, but lived, this isn’t “Gun Death” nor is it “Gun Violence”, so why did the reporter even pen the story? Those who favor Gun Control can’t answer that question.

Quote of the Day

Good Quote from Tam Tam

“We did not ride the heffalump, which made me a little sad….We may go back tomorrow just to ride the heffalump.

I looked at Bobbi today at the fair and said “You know, it’d be a damn shame to live 80 years on a planet with elephants on it and die without ever having ridden one.”

Ain’t that the truth? Also I concur with Lissa that this feat must come with pictures. I will also say Tam needs to be wearing the correct gear.
